LORD TALON'S POV
The report from the border arrived on time before the meeting that Niko had called for. He had remained behind to soothe Cedric who had tossed and turned in his sleep after drowning himself with wine. We understood that he was torn between the loyalty to Elisera and his mates and hence we let Niko handle the situation as I rushed to the border and Silas went to the office to handle the reports that came in.
" What do you have for me ?" I asked the guard the minute he arrived.
" It was Lord Blackwin who took the gold out from the gold bank and handed it to General Ethan. They used the army to send Rockwell, Roll, and Iona. " The guard reported and handed me the slips from the gold bank and it had the signature of Lord Blackwell.
" Is there a way to trace it directly ?" I demanded.
" No. They were careful and I had to threaten the families of the guards for them to speak up" The guard snickered.
