LOUIS POV
The heavy mist of early morning clung to Sith Mountain, wrapping the rugged peaks in a ghostly shroud. I had warned the guards to invite Lord Niko to Sith Mountain. Lord Niko, Silas, Talon, and Cedric were on their way as Mount Sith had already warned of an evil that had charged from the shadows of the mountains, something darker and more insidious than anything we had faced before.
I glanced at the towering cliffs, their jagged edges jutting into the sky like the spines of some ancient beast. The mist seemed to whisper secrets as if the mountain was aware of the encroaching darkness.
I listened to the Mountain and sensed their presence as they approached it. I stood at the entrance of Mouth Sith and then the figures of Lord Niko, Silas, Talon, and Cedric came into view, their silhouettes emerging from the mist like specters. My heart quickened, and a mixture of relief and anxiety flooded through me.
