PRINCE CIARAN'S POV
I was jolted awake by a piercing scream that cut through the stillness of the night. My heart raced as I turned to the source of the distress. Gisela lay beside me, her face contorted in pain. Her breath came in sharp, uneven gasps, and I could see the intensity of her contractions. It hit me like a sudden storm—she was in labor.
I sprang from the bed, my mind racing as I tried to process the urgency of the situation. "Gisela!" I said, my voice a mix of panic and concern. I moved to her side, gently placing a hand on her arm. "We need help."
Her eyes met mine, filled with both pain and a desperate plea for assistance. I took a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm even as my heart pounded. I needed to act quickly.
