Being back in my chambers brought back so many memories that I stood in the shower in anguish and allowed the tears that I held back for so long to flow. I had missed home as much as greed and the lust for power had ruled me for years. This was familiar ground, and it pained me to be away from it. Once out of the shower, I toured my chambers and was surprised that it had been kept clean since I left. An hour later, I was dressed in my royal regalia and we walked into the inner court as I was escorted by Duchess Lenora, who had been joined by General Erastus and Prince Ciaran. Though they greeted me, I could see their scorned look of disappointment and anger and we found Enforcer Guard Jasper at the door.
We walked into the Inner Court, Lord Niko, Silas, Talon, and Cedric were already seated, and present in the court were Countess Tharn, Advisor Fergus, and Grand Princess Gisele.
