"I heard her loud and clear" I huffed "She said we did not capture one more person.
"Madness "Fergus stood up and paced up and down in the bathroom.
"I am tired "I whispered "So tired. I was sure that we had finally found peace. "
"We need to tell the Lords, and they will not be happy" Fergus muttered.
"Dammit," I cursed.
An hour later, in the soft glow of the bathroom's warm lighting, Fergus gently lifted me from the bathtub. I appreciated how careful and deliberate his movement had always been loving. He placed me on the sink counter, wrapped me in a towel as I clung to him and the droplets of water from my hair fell on his shoulders.
He walked to the bedroom with steady steps and the soft hum from the chambers made me appreciate having Fergus in my life. He carefully laid me on the bed, adjusting the pillows to ensure I was comfortable.
"Oh Fergus, how have I been living without you?" I whispered and pulled him down on the bed.
