She sat down patiently, waiting for Mr. Andy.
She was about to leave the class in disbelief that Mr. Andy didn't consider her words, even after all she had gone through to try and get him back.
"Good morning, students. Sorry for coming late; something urgent came up," Ashley, who was putting on her bag, paused after hearing the voice.
She turned around to see Mr. Andy in front of the class.
The students stood up to greet him, and as he answered them, his eyes met with Ashley's.
He smiled at her and nodded his head, while she responded with a faint smile from the joy of seeing him.
"I was actually preparing our lessons for today, and that will be mastering an instrument. We all know music can't be music without instruments. This was something I learned from someone very wise," saying that, he looked at Ashley once again, who immediately realized that he was talking about her.
During the class, Mr. Andy introduced the students to the musical instruments in the studio by letting them test their hands on them till they discovered what suits them best.
He also assisted the students, who had no idea what to do.
Ashley, on the other hand, sat near the violins but was too distracted and engrossed in Mr. Andy to do anything.
After a while, Andy noticed how Ashley stared at him, and he walked to her, picked up a violin, and placed it in her hands.
She snapped out of her thoughts and, like the other students, tried to play something.
After the class ended, the students left the class, and Mr. Andy stared at Ashley's seat. After a while, he closed his eyes.
"Were you expecting me to wait behind?" Andy opened his eyes to see Ashley, and he chuckled.
"Actually, yes, I was hoping you would wait behind. I know you had a lot of questions. Yesterday I couldn't say anything to you, but today I came prepared to answer all your questions."
He stood up from his chair and sat on his desk directly in front of Ashley.
"So why did you come back?" Ashley asked.
Mr. Andy laughed and replied, "Is this really a question? You were the one who came to my house begging me to come back."
"For the record, I never begged you to come back. I only asked you not to leave because of me," Ashley defended, smiling.
"Well, I only came back because of you," Mr. Andy said as he walked closer to Ashley.
He was so close to her, and it made her stomach knot.
She could perceive the scent of his perfume, the fiddliness causing silence when Mr. Andy's eyes were drawn by Ashley's stare.
He walked back to his chair, and as soon as he left, Ashley took in a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves down from the tension she had felt from being so close to him.
He brought out a paper from under his desk, which he handed to Ashley and said, "This was the reason I came back."
"The art of Music, what does it mean?" Ashley asked after reading the heading of the paper.
"It's a music contest, and I want you to apply," Mr. Andy answered.
Ashley replied, "But I..."
"You are so talented, Ashley. I came back because you were right about the talented students here who needed my guidance, and you are one of them, Ashley," Mr. Andy replied.
"You don't understand, I can't participate in this," Ashley said, and with that, she handed the paper to Mr. Andy.
"But you finally have the chance to..."
"I can't…!" Ashley screamed. Andy was shocked.
"Please don't try to question my decision, Mr. Andy. I already told you, I can't do it," Ashley interrupted and walked out of the studio with an angry tone.
She stood in front of the school, waiting for Hannah, when she noticed a group of boys staring at her.
She tried to ignore them at first, but she immediately got irritated by their fetish glares.
Hannah finally arrived at the field, and as the two were about to leave, she spotted one of the boys holding a phone.
She stood still for a while, trying to figure out what they were really up to.
"Hannah, look over there," Ashley said as she pointed out the boys with her eyes careful not to alert them.
"They have a phone with them, Ashley. Why are they staring at us?" Hannah asked.
"I don't know, but it does seem suspicious."
Soon, they saw the camera light flash.
"Hey, are they taking pictures?" Hannah said.
"You! Hey, you! Why are you taking our pictures without permission? Come back here!"
The boys noticed that Hannah and Ashley had found out about them and immediately took off when they saw the two heading towards their direction.
The boys ran as fast as they could while Ashley and Hannah followed.
Soon, they split into different directions to fool the girls on who had the phone.
Luckily, Ashley could tell vividly who was holding the phone, and they ran after him.
Hannah stopped for a while, trying to catch her breath.
They had both been running after the boys for long and were already out of breath.
Almost immediately, Ashley had an idea.
She dragged Hannah without saying a word to her.
They passed through what seemed to be a deserted road and then through the corners of some old houses.
Hannah kept questioning Ashley where they were going, but she was fixated on the, to Hannah's surprise, they both ended up at the other end of the road.
They spotted the distracted boy who was still running, looking over his shoulders and heading towards them.
It was obvious that he had no idea what he had been running from was right in front as he ran into both Ashley and Hannah.
He tried to escape once again, but they had him cornered.
Hannah pushed him to the floor while Ashley snatched the phone from his hand. She tried to open it and search through it, but it was locked.
She gave him the phone, asking him to open it, but the agitated boy was persistent and refused to open the phone.
