"Hey, Mom Dad I finally did it, I finally made it into M.O.B," Sherry stands with a slight smile gracing her otherwise dreary expression. "With all the AI's, Evolved, and Enhanced going around I thought I could do some good," She says fiddling with her fingers with two silhouette standing in front of her. "I figured I could help out since we used to be short on food and necessities all the time, defend Metropolis so the other teams can do their jobs a bit easier. It took forever because they have a requirement for a Power Mobile or equivalent combat unit." She leaned back let out a loud sigh, ""I know it can be dangerous, but I'll be careful. I need to do this, to make a difference. I love you guys. I'll let you rest now, you need all your energy." Sherry took a step back causing the pressure plate to raise as the holographic images of her parents like ghosts faded into the hustle and bustle of the city. She polished the console that said 'Here lie loving parents Adam and Danna Polter.'
"I won't mention that my armor and weapon barely met the requirement, but you'll see" a small scoff left Sherry's mouth as she reached to retighten her bun. She hopped on her Metro Cycle, a large Cycle with four wheels two of which could be shaved off to get higher speeds, after a couple of attempts at it Mary started and Sherry rode home. On the way back she stopped and grabbed her favorite place to get food, Sherry used to accompany her parents here. As the door slowly opened their was a distorted meow, "how are you doing Milo?" She closed the door behind her immediately crouching down to pet the white mechanical cat. A small purr escaped Milo as Sherry pet him she mumbled, "finally thee Metropolis Operation Battalion." Sherry went and looked through different areas of the house, a habit she's had ever since she was eight.Â
After doing her daily rituals of refueling her bike and checking her battery count she went and had a relaxing bath in which Milo sat beside the tub and received some affection. Milo was an ownerless older model she found a couple years after her parents passed and has been her only real confidant since.
After the bath she went to try on and maintenance her her extra light exo-suit, it was a thin layer of protective gear with some amplifiers on the thighs, chest, back, and forearms. She squeezed into it, it seemed to emphasize her curves. She ran her hands over the chest plaiting "even with this," she sighed deeply as she looked in the mirror stretching and checking the suit for wear and tear. Then as she changed into her bed attire she placed her holster and sheath on the table, sitting to take a look at there overall condition.
After affirming their battle ready conditions she smiled and placed her Pulse Pistol and Vorpalum Blade into the container with her exo-suit. Finally, she laid down, the events of today flashing before her eyes; she saw the rigorous testing, the eyes that wouldn't leaver her pistol alone, and the meeting with her parents. Even if it was for a brief moment, visiting her parents was a blessing every time. The night drew on with Sherry comfortably in bed.
Let's let her rest; it is a big day for her tomorrow. For now we'll follow another's actions.
As if to assert their presence in the world, they moved with a rhythmic 'pit pat pit pat' of footsteps. Loud for a cat don't you think? Milo struts his way all the way up to the roof of Xavier's Apartment Complex, up here we see a couple of stray mechanical cats, all of which came carrying pieces of a different mechanical cat. Milo walks between all of them and allows them to start disassembling him. Late into the night the sounds of many tiny mechanics could be heard tinkering away.
