"Yes, Mum. I just confirmed today—I'm pregnant. And I know it's going to be a boy," Lilian announced confidently.
"Oh, Lilian, dear!" Claire exclaimed, unable to hide her surprise and joy. She clasped Lilian's hands and beamed with happiness.
From the corner of his eye, Allen observed the interaction. The two women were overjoyed, and his mother was treating Lilian like royalty. Claire couldn't contain her excitement about their upcoming wedding that weekend.
"It's perfect timing," Claire gushed. "My grandson is already on her way, and he's exactly where she needs to be—safe in your womb. Don't exert yourself, my dear. Let the servants handle everything. Your focus should be on your health and the baby."
