"Don't want to sleep? Who even says that?" Ryan wondered, momentarily stunned into silence. What on earth was Aiden saying?
He thought back to the previous night when Aiden had called him at midnight, complaining he couldn't sleep. Ryan had left his cozy bed to go to him, helping him fall asleep only to be told the next day that he didn't want to sleep.
"This could lead to depression or even a psychiatric issue," Ryan mused, concerned. "What kind of patient is Aiden going to be?"
"Why are you quiet, Ryan?" Aiden asked, breaking the silence. "I thought you'd ask me what happened for me to say such a thing."
"Of course I was going to ask," Ryan replied. "A normal person wouldn't say something like that. So, tell me—what's going on?"
