Katie, without reading the message, immediately deleted it and blocked Aiden on her social media. Then she went through all her other accounts and blocked him there as well. She was done with him. Why was he still trying to get back in touch? He had his girlfriends to entertain, including that Cecily girl, not to mention the other women in his life.
She was determined to move on and forget about him. As for the things she left at Aiden's mansion, she had no interest in retrieving them.
Aiden kept checking Katie's blog, hoping for a reply, but there was nothing. He felt a pang of discomfort, realizing that she had seen his message and chose not to respond. It broke his heart all over again. What could he do now? He just wanted one chance to speak to her, even if it was only once.
In his desperation, Aiden called his mother. When she answered, her voice was distant until he started apologizing.
