"Katie lost the baby because of depression," Aiden began, his voice low. "That's what the doctor said." He paused, and Ryan nodded quietly, already aware of this from Lilian. However, he chose not to mention it—there was no need.
"I caused it," Aiden continued, his tone laced with regret. "I treated her terribly—neglecting her, bringing other women into the house, and wounding her heart deliberately. I said cruel things just to belittle her."
