"I said, go home," Aiden repeated, his tone void of emotion.
"You can't be serious! Everyone knows MXcel company is the most prestigious company in the city. Do you think it's that easy to find another job like this? And why should I have to? This is your fault!"
Aiden finally looked up, his gaze icy. "My fault? You willingly came to my office. You knew the risks, and now you're facing the consequences. Don't blame me for your choices."
Cecily's voice rose.
"You're the Vice executive! You can overturn this. Talk to the CEO—"
"I can't and I won't," Aiden cut her off sharply. "I have my position, and the CEO has his. His decisions are final. You've been fired. Accept it and move on."
