She stepped into Aiden's office and found him deeply focused behind his desk. This was only the second time she had entered his workspace, and she took a moment to glance around before quietly taking a seat in front of him.
Aiden lifted his head and his eyes narrowed as they met hers. He let out a sigh and paused his work, glaring at Lilian. His expression clearly conveyed his displeasure; it was evident he was not happy with her. Yet, despite his feelings, there was little he could do about it.
Lilian met his gaze briefly before looking away, sensing the tension in the air. Aiden was engaged in a cold war with both her and Allen, and he wanted her to understand that he disapproved of their actions.
"Aiden," she began softly, trying to break the ice, "I know you're upset with your brother and me. But please, I urge you to let it go. I really can't stand this coldness between us."
