"I'm not interested in hearing any excuses. If you're not ready to talk, then leave my office," Allen asserted, growing impatient.
"Katie's pregnant!" Aiden blurted out, his teeth clenched as he turned his gaze away. "Congratulations, brother! You're going to be a father soon," Allen responded cheerfully.
"Not so fast, Allen. She told me I had to marry her, or she'd terminate the pregnancy. She's using our unborn child to threaten me," Aiden said.
Allen narrowed his eyes. How could she announce her pregnancy and then immediately demand something? Was this a trap?
"How far along is she?" Allen asked, noticing Aiden's hostile expression.
"Ten weeks," Aiden replied, slamming his fist on the desk in frustration. Allen fell silent for a moment.
Perhaps Aiden didn't have to end up like him— a single dad with a daughter. Maybe marrying her was the best option if he wanted to keep the baby.
