"Aiden, this is the second time you've come to check on us. Have you managed to get any sleep?"
Aiden froze. Lilian wasn't sleeping? She knew he had visited twice? He had assumed she was resting, wondering how she could sleep comfortably on a sofa while keeping an eye on a patient.
She never failed to surprise him. Every action of hers left him in awe, but this one, in particular, deepened his admiration for her.
"I thought you were asleep?" Aiden asked, struggling to find the right words.
"I'm with my boyfriend; do you expect me to sleep soundly? When you opened the door and I saw it was you, I closed my eyes, knowing you wouldn't harm him. But if anyone else comes in, I'll be up to watch, even if it's the doctors," Lilian explained, still lying on the sofa.
"You impress me, Lilian, and I like you," Aiden said with a smile. Lilian pouted playfully, saying she would tell Allen when he woke up that his brother had a crush on her.
