The waiter was caught off guard when he received this question before quickly saying, "This customer, is there something wrong with your meal? Or did I do something wrong? If I did, please let me make it up to you. Please don't get the manager involved in this matter."
I was surprised by how panicked he was, but then again…
I was calling for a manager like a certain woman that had a name that started with K, it would be strange if he didn't panic at this.
So with a calming smile, I said, "I'm not dissatisfied with anything, rather I'm quite impressed with this store so I wanted to call the manager to praise your store. As well, I want to talk a bit of business with the manager."
The waiter had a confused look, but he also had a cautious look in his eyes as he looked at me.
It was clear that he was trying to figure out just what I wanted to do, so I just looked back at him with the same smile.
