Chapter 39 - A nice collar

When the next item came out, the people down below didn't make a bid as they waited to see if there was another bid that came out of me.

However, there was no bid that came.

After waiting for a minute, the first bid finally came in.

Against a crazy person who didn't care how much money he spent, they would be crazy if they bid against him. So it was just better to give him the items that he wanted.

But since he didn't make a bid, that meant that this item was free for them to bid on.

They didn't hold back at all.

There were even a few people that thought that the person who made that large bid on that first item was already out of money from showing off like this.

It was normal to see kids who didn't know how to control themselves and blew all their money like this on a single item. They did this to show off, only to realize that they had completely forgotten what they should have been doing all along.

In reality, I just wasn't interested in this item.

Even if I had the prodigal system, that didn't mean that I would force myself to buy everything just for the sake of wasting money. A real prodigal would only buy things that they were interested in.

This item that came after the White Frost Jade was a set of armour, but it was a heavy set of armour that didn't seem like it would fit my style as a prodigal.

After all, it would be hard to move wearing a large set of armour like that.

I just didn't want it.

There were several more items that came up for auction, but there wasn't a single one that was able to catch my eyes.

It didn't seem like there was anything that would catch my eyes until…

"This is a special bracelet that has Ten Thousand Year Ice Jades embedded in it, causing a very intense ice energy to fill this bracelet. Anyone who wears this will be able to release powerful ice attacks at their enemies."

"The starting bid for this item will be a hundred low grade spirit stones with each bid having a minimum increment of ten low grade spirit stones."

"One thousand low grade spirit stones."

As soon as the host's voice fell, mine rang out.

Everyone who had been sitting down below was shocked to hear this.

After all, after not hearing my voice for several items, they had actually forgotten about me.

But the moment that I spoke, they couldn't help remembering what happened with the White Frost Jade.

The ones that thought that I had used up all my money buying the first item looked at the host as if they wanted him to do something about this. They were questioning the fact that I would be able to pay this amount.

However, the host didn't do a thing as he started the count.

After all, I had already more than proven that I could afford it.

There wasn't a need to pay until the end of the auction, but I had ignored this and sent one of the servants to claim my item…along with ten thousand low grade spirit stones.

This was more spirit stones than any of the servants had seen in their lives, so they were shocked when I threw it out so casually. I even left it with these servants of the Golden Boar Auction House, like I completely trusted them.

Though it did help that I had tossed them a hundred low grade spirit stones each earlier as a tip.

If I could pay for an item mid auction without any problems, naturally I would be able to pay another thousand low grade spirit stones.

The host knew this and didn't question it.

Seeing that the host wasn't stopping, the others had no choice but to give up.

They had seen what had happened if they tried to compete with this person on the second floor, they didn't want to be the next person that was crushed by that person.

But they all couldn't help wondering…

Just who was this person throwing out this ridiculous amount of money?

Since there was no one that bid against me, I easily won the ice bracelet.

With a smile on my face, I couldn't help saying, "This will really make a great collar."

As soon as I said this, the people below once again started to moan and groan about how I was a prodigal, but I actually didn't have time to think about that since…

I could feel a chill that was stabbing me from the side.

I was surprised to feel this chill at first, but then I saw that it was coming from Liu Ao Xue.

She was glaring at me after hearing what I had said.

It took me a while to figure out why she was glaring at me like this.

It seemed that she really liked the bracelet that was being sold and she thought that I was buying it for her…so when I said that I wanted to use it as a collar, naturally she was angry.

I never said that it was for her and she had just assumed that it was…

Sometimes women really did get unreasonable when it came to jewelry…

But I had already said that I wanted to use it as a collar, so it wasn't as if I could give it to her anymore.

If I did, it would be like I was insulting her since it would be like saying that she was only fit to wear a collar.

This was definitely not something that I could do…

So all I could do was say with an awkward look on my face, "Master, if there's anything that you like, just tell me and I'll get it for you."

"Humph, I can't even afford a collar, how could I want anything from here?" She said in an angry voice.

A bitter smile crept onto my face when I heard this.

So instead of focusing on the auction, I had to focus on appeasing this master of mine.

I had the servants get a bunch of snacks for her and slowly her mood improved.

I felt that I was done with this auction until…
