Chapter 32 - A stereotypical villain

Since they were all gone, it was just the two of us left standing there.

After taking a moment to overcome the sadness that came from Lin Li Zi avoiding me, I turned to Liu Ao Xue and reached my hand out to her as I said, "Shall we go exploring the city, master?"

Liu Ao Xue was surprised to see this.

It was actually the first time that someone had offered her their hand like this.

It wasn't that she wasn't beautiful enough for people to do this, it was just that she normally never interacted much with people. She had spent the greater part of her life cultivating and other than cultivating, she only went to a few social events with her father.

At those events, she had never really gone off alone since she didn't feel interested in mingling with others.

So this was the first time that this was happening for her.

Seeing Lin Fan stand in front of her like this, her heart couldn't help skipping a beat.

Even with her bad impression of him, seeing him against the light like this…she had to admit that he was handsome.

It was even to the point where she felt embarrassed seeing him like this.

But in the end, she still took his hand.

I had to admit that I was definitely surprised that she would take my hand since I knew that I had made a bad first impression. My plan had been to slowly build up our relationship, but now…it seemed like she wanted to get closer to me.

Well, if that's what she wanted, then there was no reason for me to reject this.

There was a reason why I wanted to get closer to her anyway.

A big leg to hug was never a bad thing in this cultivation world.

As we walked around, I had to admit that I had fun with this master of mine.

She was like a child as we walked around the market.

Though we had come here to buy something specific, it turned out that this master of mine was very easily distracted. Whenever she saw something shiny or interesting, she would walk over to see what it was.

Then I would buy it because she looked like she wanted it.

She would try to stop me at first, but she still let me buy it in the end.

With how this was going, it really seemed like it was a date.

But at the same time, I was more than happy to spend money on her since…wasting money on women was part of what being a prodigal was. Every cent that I spent on her would come back to me in the form of system points, so I was more than happy to buy her whatever she wanted.

We just went along like this until…

We were suddenly stopped by a group of young men.

The appearance of this group of young men made me laugh a bit on the inside because they looked very familiar.

It wasn't that they looked like prodigals like me, rather they looked like stereotypical villains.

They even acted like stereotypical villains when they approached us.

"Oh, this beautiful lady, how about you come with us instead?"

After the leader of this group said this, the rest of the young men spread out as if they wanted to surround us.

It was clear that they were trying to threaten us so that they could take Liu Ao Xue away.

But it was clear that they weren't that strong.

Even I could tell from the way that they moved that they didn't cultivate properly, so they weren't strong at all.

Even I would be able to beat them without much effort.

So there was no mentioning if they could do anything to this master of mine.

But Liu Ao Xue actually took a step back so she was behind me before looking at me as if she was handing this matter off to me.

I was surprised to see this, but I guess that this was my first real lesson.

Though I was actually quite willing to take this lesson since I wanted to test something.

I had gained cultivation, but I never had a chance to test out just how strong I was. Even if it was against a group of idiots like this.

Though there was a small part of me that still wanted to act like a prodigal.

When they saw Liu Ao Xue step behind, the young men immediately narrowed their eyes to look at me before their leader said, "Get out of here now before you get hurt. This is your one and only warning."

I didn't move after the leader said this. Instead, I just looked back at him with a smile on my face and asked, "What happens if I don't move?"

They were surprised to hear this from me, but then the leader waved his hand at the others around him. His lackeys immediately came forward to surround me as if they wanted to beat me up.

So I said, "Lackeys, take care of them."

This was my instinct, but I quickly realized that…my lackeys weren't here.

I had sent my lackeys with Lin Li Zi.

A part of me regretted this, but that part of me quickly faded since nothing was more important than her safety. If it meant that I had to get my hands a bit dirty instead of relying on my lackeys, I was fine with that.

Shaking my head and giving a sigh, I said, "Right, I forgot that I sent my lackeys away. I guess I'll have to get my hands a bit dirty today."

As soon as they heard this, the lackeys around me immediately revealed angry looks before saying, "What did you say? Watch how we break your legs!"

But before they could, I suddenly raised my hand to stop them.

"Even if you try to apologize, it's too…"

Before that lackey could finish, I waved my hand to throw out some low grade spirit stones before saying, "Nope, I just wanted to give you your hospital fees ahead of time."
