12:00 PM: Standing in an alleyway, Taehyun stared at his art canvas, the lifeless brick wall challenging his skills.
"I shall conquer you, just like I have the rest!" He proclaimed loudly as he observed the wall intensely.
Grabbing his cans of paint he relentlessly began to spray the wall. To others it may have looked like vandalism, but to him it was bringing the life out of something completely lifeless. Ever since he was little he was drawing or painting on things that lacked color, lacked life, and usually it was something other than a piece of paper. Nobody ever seemed to understand Taehyun, not when he was younger, and certainly not now. When he was younger he would always get into trouble at school because he was constantly drawing on his desk and not paying attention in his classes. Now that he was a little older, he was still getting into trouble; it just graduated from detention to spending a night in a jail cell. It was no big deal to him, he had made friends with some of the officers there. He was often caught in back alleys painting or trespassing in places that were abandoned. He was always in search of a new canvas to paint, and the alley he had found himself in now had a perfect canvas for his new idea.
After three hours of relentlessly decorating the walls in the darkness of the alleyway, Taehyun paused feeling uneasy. Looking around he made sure nobody was there. Shrugging, he tried to brush off the feeling and continued to spray the wall. His uneasiness grew, causing him to look around once again. Furrowing his brow, he examined the alleyway closely. He didn't see anything suspicious, but the feeling persisted. Thinking that there must be a good reason for him to feel that way, he decided to quickly pack up his paint, putting it away in his backpack, which he always carried with him. He pouted as he glanced at the painting one last time, before he turned and jogged out of the dark alley and onto the bright, bustling streets. That was the first time he had ever left his artwork unfinished. He brought his hand up to his face and grabbed the bridge of his nose in exhaustion. He wasn't really sure why being in that alley had started to make him feel uneasy and nervous, paranoid even. He was just thankful that his nerves started to calm down once he was out on the public sidewalks.
After that incident Taehyun decided to retire to his apartment for the rest of the day, well until around eight since he has to catch the train to Seoul at eight thirty. Walking home he couldn't comprehend what had caused him to feel so unsettled. He was even feeling relieved that he was leaving the city for a few days and that his small apartment was by the train station, which meant he didn't have to walk through the city again today.
Once he arrived at his apartment, he let out a sigh of relief. His eyes scanned over his comfortable living space. The whole apartment was cluttered with artwork, canvases all over the place. It was far from clean, yet it was organized in a manner only an artist would understand.
Laying on his bed, he looked at his phone and smiled a really big and blocky smile. His adoptive mother had sent him a message, asking what he would like for dinner tonight. He replied telling her to surprise him for dinner and then stated that he would be leaving for Seoul shortly and that he is excited to see everyone. He then put his phone on the charger and checked the time, it was about four in the afternoon. Setting an alarm for 8:20 PM, he decided to take a nap to pass the time that was leading up to his departure. Pulling a pillow against his body, he shut his eyes as his mind slowly drifted to sleep.
