Chapter 213 - 212-I Want a Rematch

Suddenly, a powerful surge of chakra exploded from within Renjiro's core. His body tensed, and he let out a sharp breath through clenched teeth.

"Aargh!"

His skin began to redden, taking on a crimson hue as the chakra coursed through his muscles, veins, and bones. The power was immense, nearly overwhelming, but Renjiro forced himself to remain in control.

His Sharingan activated itself and began to spin violently, the tomoe swirling in his eyes like whirlpools of crimson light. Then, as if in response to the newfound power coursing through his body, another tomoe emerged in each of his eyes, completing the full, fourth-tomoe Sharingan.

This was a never-before-seen combination. The world around him sharpened, every detail magnified and crystal clear as his vision heightened to a level he had never experienced before.

Duy's eyes widened in awe. He had seen the effects of the third gate before, but never in combination with the Sharingan.

"Your eyes... they are changing," Duy muttered, his voice tinged with concern and admiration.

Renjiro felt the surge of energy coalesce into a sharp, focused power. His body felt different—lighter, faster, stronger. He glanced down at his hands, noticing the deep red flush of his skin, the telltale sign that his body was undergoing the radical transformation caused by the third gate.

"I... I did it," Renjiro whispered, more to himself than to Duy.

His voice was low, almost reverent as if he couldn't quite believe what he had achieved. The third gate was open, and with it came a flood of strength and perception that left him both exhilarated and slightly dazed.

'Wait, did he mention something about my eyes?' Renjiro thought as he pulled a mirror from one of his storage seals.

His Sharingan was still active, but what truly caught his attention was his Sharingan. The spinning tomoe had stabilized, forming a perfect quad in each eye.

"Is this... even possible?" Renjiro murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he examined the subtle yet profound change. His hand instinctively rose to his face, fingertips hovering just inches away from his eyes as if touching them might dispel the transformation.

'It looks more like a Mangekyō than a regular Sharingan,' he thought, brow furrowing as his mind raced through every piece of knowledge he had ever encountered about the Uchiha bloodline.

'But it's different… it feels different. Does this change how I perceive the world? Or is it just an extra tomoe—some enhancement without true meaning?'

Renjiro blinked several times, trying to focus. Everything around him was more vivid. The trees in the distance, the dust particles in the air, even the subtle shift in Duy's stance—it all came to him with shocking clarity. But was it just a physical enhancement, or something more? Something deeper that he hadn't yet tapped into?

'I need to test it… see if this fourth tomoe remains when the gates are closed,' Renjiro mused, his thoughts swirling as he considered the implications of his discovery.

'Maybe it's just the influence of the Gate of Life... I remember Rock Lee's eyes changing when he pushed further into the gates. But his were temporary. Is this?'

Before Renjiro could act on his thoughts, Duy's voice snapped him out of his reverie.

Duy approached cautiously, his brow furrowed with concern but also with a touch of admiration. "You're something else, Renjiro," Duy said with a chuckle. "I've never seen anyone open the Gate of Life so soon after mastering the second gate. And with the Sharingan change like that... it's incredible."

"But how do you feel?" Duy asked, his eyes scanning Renjiro's reddened form.

"I feel… powerful," Renjiro admitted, opening his eyes again. "Stronger than I've ever felt before. But it's not just strength—it's like my entire body has been supercharged. My senses are sharper, my chakra flows more freely, and my Sharingan… well I am sure you can see that."

"But remember, Renjiro—the third gate can push your body to its limits. Don't overextend yourself let it go to your head!"

Renjiro tilted his head, intrigued by Duy's remark. "Why do you say that?"

Duy sighed and rubbed his chin thoughtfully, his eyes scanning Renjiro's face. "You're pushing yourself beyond your limits, faster than your body can handle."

"I see what you're saying," Renjiro replied, nodding slowly. "But this is how I get stronger. I push myself to the edge, test my limits, and then surpass them. That's how I've always done it."

"And that's what worries me," Duy shot back, his eyes narrowing. "You might be healing faster than most, but the gates don't care about that. Your insides are taking damage that you can't even feel right now. If you keep this up, you're going to do permanent harm before you even know it. The gates are a deadly tool—they're meant to be used sparingly, not back to back like this."

Renjiro frowned, mulling over Duy's words. There was a weight to them that he couldn't ignore. Duy had experience in this stuff—more than Renjiro in this particular area. His words carried the weight of someone who understood the real dangers of the Eight Gates, someone who had lived with their consequences for years.

"I understand the risks, Duy," Renjiro said finally, his voice calm but firm.

'But this is how I grow. This is how I become stronger. I need to test my limits.' Renjiro thought. He couldn't voice this so that the matter would be put at rest.

He then muttered, "Alright, Renjiro as long as you know the risks. You need to be smart about this. You can't just brute-force your way through the gates."

Renjiro smirked, his confidence returning as he took a step closer to Duy. "Smart, huh? Well then, why don't we put that to the test?"

Duy raised an eyebrow, confused. "What do you mean?"

"A rematch," Renjiro said simply, his voice brimming with challenge.

"That last fight—we both know it wasn't a real draw. You were holding back, Duy. Now that I've opened the third gate... let's see what happens when we go all out."

'He knew?'

Duy wondered blinked, taken aback by the sudden challenge. For a moment, he said nothing, simply staring at Renjiro as if trying to decide whether the younger man was serious.

'But I guess that is to be expected since he came to me asking about the technique.'

Duy thought as slowly, a grin spread across his face.

"You're serious, aren't you?" he asked, his voice tinged with amusement.

Renjiro smirked in response, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Of course I am. I want to see what you're really made of, Duy. No holding back this time."

Duy chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Alright then. If it's a real fight you want, then that's what you'll get. But don't say I didn't warn you."

Renjiro's smirk widened as he stepped back, preparing himself for the fight to come. He took one last deep breath, then fell into his fighting stance.

The two shinobi stood facing each other, the fading light casting long shadows across the training ground. For a brief moment, the world seemed to hold its breath.

Then, with a sudden burst of movement, Renjiro charged forward, fists clenched, and Sharingan blazing.
