Lisa gingerly stepped out of the room and closed the door behind her as soon as she was outside.
She held firmly on to the door for support as her legs gave up from the pressure of actually speaking up to her family, a feat she had never accomplished.
She exhaled softly and was slowly sliding to the floor when she felt hands around her, lifting her up and supporting her weight.
Lisa immediately looked up to find Richard staring down at her, a worried expression on his face.
"Are you okay?," he inquired softly, his eyes searching hers for any indication that she wasn't okay.
Lisa gulped.
Was she okay?
She had done something she had never thought she would be able to achieve, she had talked to her family and told them how terrible they were and even though her whole body had been frozen with nerves as she spoke, Lisa had never felt such an overwhelming amount of relief in her life.
