Alpha Owen's eyes narrowed as the Hematoi emerged from the shadows, their presence like a dark whisper. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? and besides you're bold to come here, considering the timing," Owen spat, his voice low and even laced with sarcasm.

"I came for a business proposition, not to indulge in your childish games. Don't pretend you're not interested Alpha."

The Hematoi's gaze seemed to bore into Owen's soul, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. The air was heavy with the scent of blood, and Owen's pack members growled, their hackles raised. The Hematoi's skin was deathly pale, almost translucent, and his hair seemed to writhe like living darkness.

"I'm not interested in anything you have to offer and besides....." Owen lied, his heart racing with anticipation.

"I have no business to discuss with you," Owen spat, his lip curling in disgust. "I'll only deal with your lord, not some... creature like you."

"You want my lord to come and negotiate with animals like you? How quaint."

The Hematoi chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but I think you will be interested. You see, we have something you need. Something that will give you the upper hand in this... delicate balance of power."

Owen snarled, his pack members growling in response. "We don't need anything from you. Especially not your kind."

The Hematoi's smile grew wider, his fangs glinting in the light. "Ah, but that's where you're wrong, Alpha. You see, we have the power to make your wildest dreams come true. And all we ask in return is... a small favor."

Owen's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew that dealing with the Hematoi was dangerous, but a part of him was tempted. Tempted by the promise of power, of security for his pack.

"I'm not interested," Owen repeated, trying to sound convincing.

The Hematoi shrugged, his shoulders barely moving. "Very well, Alpha. But know this: our offer won't be on the table forever. And when it's gone... you'll be begging for our mercy."

"Very well. I'll convey your message. But you'll regret this, Alpha."

With that, he vanished into the shadows, leaving Owen's pack members breathless and trembling with fear.

"But Alpha, why didn't you accept the offer?" Owen's beta asked, his voice laced with confusion.

Owen's expression was grim. "The Hematoi think they're the rulers of this realm. And never, ever get too close to them. They're bloodthirsty creatures, always on the hunt. I won't risk our pack's safety for any business deal."

With that, he turned and strode away, leaving his pack members to whisper among themselves about the dangers of the Hematoi.
