Chapter 1 - One

"Marvin…Bonner is it?"

Marvin glanced up from his seat, the door that was once closed was opened now with a man looming beside it. His black shoulder messy length hair with black and white streaks seemed to lay completely still with the man's shark fin visible on the back of his head, those smokey black eyes he had held power and determination. Marvin gave a simple nod in response to the new sudden approach, trying his absolute best to overcome the intimidation which was plainly thrown toward him without knowledge.

"Yes… That's me sir"

"Follow me inside then, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"It's um nice to meet you to-"

Marvin followed the man inside the room as instructed by him. The man pulled out Marvin's chair, offering Marvin to sit which reluctantly Marvin did as such. Upon the man taking his seat Marvin glazed around the room, it was plain and simple. A desk and a bookshelf was all that appeared to be within the room, nothing more.

The man then cleared his throat, regaining Marvin's attention. Marvin's icey blue eyes held wonder, curiosity yet somehow they still seem to hold fear and a sense of undying anxiety which the man notices, seeming to read Marvin like an open book. Wanting to ease any troubles Marvin could be feeling the man lowered his gaze to that of a calm and gentler one.

"I apologize if I caused any unwanted emotions. Being the owner here involves drastic measures though, I hope that didn't startle you to which you feel rather overwhelmed. I hate to see my new employees in such distress it simply just breaks my heart."

Marvin just laughed awkwardly, even if he was just here for his job interview the whole 'I'm speaking to my boss for this job' was a tad uncomfortable. The more calmer approach did seem to ease Marvin a bit, though, he was rather still intense, which the man seemed to notice again.

"I'll start slow alright? My name is Kieran, Kieran Ellington. First hand I am pleased to tell you that I'm very happy you wanted to work here of all places, yet my curiosity leads me to wonder why. If you don't mind the question I would love an answer. You seem like a lovely boy, working at a place like here, and I mean no disrespect, it just seems beneath you."
