Chapter 171 - Chapter 154 - The Destroyer Part 5

POV: Third Person

Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Same Time

The beach was unusually calm. Unlike the other heralds, Morg lacked the ability to cause widespread destruction around him. However, his physical and regenerative abilities were unmatched among the three. The wound on his chest, inflicted by Natasha, had healed in mere seconds.

From above, the Human Torch wasn't enraged by the sight of his teammate being thrown aside. The same couldn't be said for the Hulk. Upon seeing Natasha hurled away, he sprang to his feet and charged at Morg.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

He roared in fury. Morg, seeing him approach, readied his silver axe, but the Hulk leaped at him, grabbing hold. The two crashed through the beach, barreling towards the street and smashing through several buildings before landing in the middle of a road. With Hulk on top, he grabbed Morg by the neck and delivered a powerful punch to his face.

"BOOOMM!"

The impact cracked and dented the asphalt. As the Hulk prepared to strike again, Morg retaliated, hitting him in the face and pushing him away. Undeterred, the Hulk, driven by rage, resumed his attack only to be met by a blast of energy from Morg's axe.

"BOOOM!"

This time, the Hulk was sent flying upwards, crashing through a multi-story building on the opposite side of the street.

"Mindless brute," Morg muttered, glaring at the spot where he'd sent the Hulk.

"BOOOOM!"

Another explosion erupted. From above, the Human Torch unleashed a barrage of flames with both hands, engulfing Morg completely.

"I told you, these flames don't even make me feel warm!" Morg shouted, hurling his axe at the Human Torch, who swiftly dodged. Seizing the opportunity, the Torch dove towards Morg, flying around him at high speed, releasing his flames.

A tornado of fire formed in the middle of the street, with Morg at its center, finally showing signs of being hurt.

Within the fiery vortex, Morg crouched and leaped with astonishing speed and precision, timing his jump perfectly as the Torch passed in front of him. He grabbed the Torch by the neck, dragging them both out of the flaming tornado, which extinguished instantly.

"BOOMMM!"

This time, Morg and the Human Torch crashed onto a truck. The Torch struggled in his grip, too weak to break free. Morg watched him impassively as the flames on the Torch's body flickered out, returning him to his human form.

Morg extended his free hand, and his short-handled silver axe appeared in his grasp.

"You should have bowed your head when I warned you," he said, raising the axe towards the nearly unconscious Human Torch's head.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Once again, Morg cried out in pain, a dagger piercing his body. He flung Johnny Storm aside like a ragdoll, turning to face Natasha.

Natasha emerged unscathed from his latest attack. The outfit bestowed upon her by Baldur, combined with her regenerative abilities gifted by the king, rendered her far more durable. Only attacks with high firepower, such as those of Baldur, or weapons of mystical qualities, could pierce her garments.

Now, Natasha had thrown one of her daggers, striking Morg's left shoulder.

"Let's finish this together, big guy," she said to the Hulk, who stood calmly by her side.

Meanwhile, Morg struggled to remove her dagger from his shoulder, but it was futile. Without Natasha or her creator, no one could move that weapon.

"HOAUAAAAAA!"

Realizing this, Morg attacked furiously with his raised axe. However, it wasn't the Hulk who advanced first, but Natasha. She ran towards him, holding her dagger downward. When they faced each other, Morg attempted a wide swing to cut her in half.

Natasha then aimed her wrist at him, and her new weapon, the Widow's Sting, fired a projectile that struck her enemy's face. The projectile exploded, covering his eyes with a sticky substance.

Quick as a cat, she twisted her body backward, sliding on the ground to dodge the axe by a mere inch. After evading the attack, she twisted her body, hitting his Achilles tendon, cutting it.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Morg screamed in pain once again.

He didn't have time to heal or clear the goo from his eyes. Right in front of him, the Hulk charged forward. Blinded, Morg had no time to dodge Hulk's bear hug.

With both hands beneath Hulk's muscular green arms, Morg was lifted off the ground.

"You think you can crush me!" Morg shouted at him, straining to break free.

"He doesn't need to," Natasha said from behind him.

She then leaped and clung to Morg's back, removing her other dagger from his shoulders. She jumped again, using Morg's body as a platform. The leap wasn't to escape but to create an opportunity. She crossed her arms in the air in an X shape and, at the perfect height, uncrossed them in a strike, hitting Morg's neck.

Then it was over. Morg's head rolled to the ground, and his body fell after Hulk released him.

Near the Solar System

Same Time

The strike was perfect, as was the distraction. My spear was inches from Norrin's chest when his silver fingers closed around the blade.

My surprise attack failed, so I opted for a more direct approach. Still reeling from the blow that nearly gravely injured him, Norrin didn't see me release Sigel's hilt and step onto his board while grabbing his right hand.

{What are you trying to accomplish?} he asked telepathically, curious about the situation.

{Well, you're certainly one of the fastest beings in the universe, so this is a way to prevent you from using your speed against me,} I telepathically replied, utilizing the power of the rune.

{That makes no sense!} he retorted.

{Allow me to demonstrate.}

With that said, I landed a punch squarely on his face. Since he was tethered to the board and held by me, he couldn't recoil. There was no way for him to do so.

{Is this your intention, this barbaric form of combat?} he asked, now a little annoyed.

{What nonsense are you spouting? All forms of combat are barbaric!}

Another punch, this time landing on his abdomen.

{Let me go!} he demanded.

Another punch. Now, I saw a silver drop of blood seeping from his mouth.

Finally, he seemed to get into the swing of things. He punched me squarely in the nose, I won't lie, it hurt a lot, but my Asgardian blood was boiling.

{This is senseless!} Norrin exclaimed.

We exchanged punches for a few minutes. Then he leaned forward and shot forward at a speed faster than light, leaving me bewildered. I didn't understand the purpose of this action. So, I continued to punch with all my might at his face.

The reason for our moving at that astonishing speed became apparent quickly. Since I was facing him, with my back to everything, I didn't see when he headed towards a large meteorite. I only felt it when he collided with me. The surprise almost made me let go, but I managed to hold on and land another punch on Norrin's face, breaking his nose.

Norrin continued like this, traveling at high speed and hitting me with anything large enough to cause me harm along the way.

My condition wasn't very good. My back and neck must have been in terrible shape, but Norrin wasn't in perfect condition either. I began to concentrate my powers of light in my fist as we traveled. Every punch I landed on him resulted in a small explosion on his face. Unfortunately, I couldn't channel too much of my power into my fists, or the recoil from the blow would force me to let go.

Staying in this state for too long wouldn't be favorable for Earth either. Every second, I distanced myself further from it, and his speed was terrifying. It wouldn't take long before I needed days to return to Earth. I had to stop him.

Norrin couldn't stray too far from his master either, so with his free hand, he fired a blast of cosmic energy directly at my face. The speed of an energy blast was something I could barely dodge, especially at point-blank range, but my instincts saved me. I lowered my body, narrowly evading the blast. Then, with a thought, Sigel appeared in my hand. I had placed it in my dimension the moment I let it go.

Holding it with the blade downward, I stood up and plunged it into the Surfer's thigh. But my target wasn't him; it was his board. The spear did its job beautifully, piercing the board and destroying it. With our vehicle destroyed, we were forcefully separated, and due to the speed at which we were traveling, we lost all control.

After spinning through the cosmos for a few seconds, I finally managed to stop. The gravity of a nearby sun aided me in this.

I looked around for my enemy, and on the horizon, I saw him on his board.

(Unfortunately, it's not like in the movies.)

In the Fantastic Four films, the Surfer's board is what gives him his powers, something entirely different from the comics, where Norrin created the board only to facilitate his movement. Anyway, it was worth a try.

Norrin soon approached me and stopped a few meters away; his wounds were already healed, except for the one on his thigh. My spear had tasted the blood of a celestial, so a wound from it took much longer to heal, even with Norrin's healing abilities.

"It's over," Norrin said.

"I agree, but I believe it's not in the way you're thinking now."

Norrin didn't understand, so I pointed to the sun behind me.

"This is why lack of information about an enemy is so problematic."

I gave no further explanations; my move was already in motion. The sun behind me, twice the size of Earth's sun, was a blue-white star, meaning it had nearly triple the temperature of our sun. At that moment, that star was undergoing a transformation, to be more precise, it was collapsing; its size had gone from that of a giant star to that of a soccer ball.

Then the supernova occurred, a wave of blue-white mist illuminating this small piece of the universe. Normally, this would suffice to end any mortal being, but unfortunately, my enemy was no ordinary one.

But that was just the beginning of the attack. I raised my arm and drew a Norse rune in front of me with my finger; the effect of the magic was automatic. The supernova, which should have expanded to its peak, began to return to where we were, as if being pulled by something.

"What is this?" Norrin asked, looking at it all without understanding.

He wasn't surprised by the star's explosion or the supernova, but this was different.

"I don't know; I've never tried it before, and I've never seen anyone else do it," I replied, jokingly.

Then the supernova concentrated around us and began to rotate, becoming a cosmic storm.

I created my own locus of power.

Like Norrin, who can absorb cosmic energy to become stronger, here I was at my peak. I didn't even need to use the energy from my dimension anymore.

"Well, Norrin, shall we finish this?"

As I said this, a large portion of the supernova, which resembled golden clouds, enveloped my body. I molded this energy, turning it into a giant being two hundred meters tall.

Something that is only possible to achieve and use when I'm in space; the temperature of this giant alone is enough to destroy Earth.

Norrin just stared at me in surprise; I didn't care. I controlled the giant construct I was within and delivered a punch with all my power to him.
