POV: Baldur
Golden Dimension
Two Hours After the Banishment.
(What didn't I see? What didn't I realize?)
These were some of the questions I asked myself during these two hours. After asking myself several times without getting an answer, I tried to find a justification. My thoughts created several ridiculous theories to explain everything that happened, the only one that could really make sense was mind control.
I consider myself a rational man, but now my emotions were clouding my mind. Mind control is just one of those attempts to hide the truth.
(She betrayed me!)
When I accepted this, my entire dimension began to tremble according to what I was feeling. If this event happened on Earth, it would be like a 9.0 magnitude earthquake happening on all continents at the same time. Seconds later, I finally calmed down.
(T/N: Just to still lose a fight)
(It's no use discharging all this anger here, better to save it to be better used in the future.)
I don't know how Loki managed this, but now it's done.
More calm, I fully understand that this was a masterstroke by Loki. Trapped here, Amora has total control over my troops who won't help the Avengers in the battle without an order from me or her. Alice is also under her command, so Loki's men will invade the base and make all the Avengers separate. With this move, Loki put the entire timeline in the events of the first Avengers movie as it should be.
It will be even worse than this if he makes Amora help him in his plans, either way, the base must be in total chaos now.
(Now, how to escape?)
Amora is the only one with the most knowledge about this dimension besides me, it was she who helped me control and discover its limits, it must have been relatively easy to seal me inside it. I've tried in several ways to return to Earth without success.
(Now I understand the anger of those beings from other stories who are trapped in their own dimensions by others, really, it's not a good feeling.)
Thinking about all my options, I come to the only one that can work, she certainly has more magical knowledge than me, leaving me no choice but to leave with brute force.
Of course, this will have consequences, if I can't stand it, my physical body may even be destroyed, and that if I'm lucky. What I'm going to do is literally open an exit by tearing a passage in my dimension, this dimension is not just energy but my "true body", this energy is my true form of entity. And I'm going to be tearing it.
There are only two things I need to worry about. First is the sphere that is in my heart, the same sphere that guaranteed me victory against Balthakk. The damage to my body can be healed over time, but if I don't protect the sphere, and it is destroyed, my whole body will also be, becoming an entity like Balthakk.
The second thing is the energy of the All-Black that is in my body. I keep it under control in my dimension, there is a risk that the control will be lost and it will try and take advantage to devour me.
I spend some time creating more protections for the two things I have to worry about, with everything ready, I close my eyes and enter the best mental state I can, my two hands turn black up to the elbows, I will use the energy of the All-Black to make things easier, I have also already activated my runes to heal me while the damage to my body is caused.
Before trying, I remember something, a way that I already have in mind to communicate with others, maybe if I try hard, I can talk to Freyja or Natasha. After some time, I finally succeeded in having a little conversation with Steve, now I just need to escape from here.
Then I thrust my two hands in front of me, they go through space, I force them trying to create an opening, when I start doing this, my dimension enters into chaos. All energy starts to spin like a gigantic cyclone of destruction, the more I force the opening to expand, the more damage my body receives, but I don't stop. I only have one thing on my mind, a question that needs to be answered.
(Why did she do this?)
POV: Third Person
S.H.I.E.L.D. Aircraft Carrier
One Hour After the Banishment
"First time losing a soldier?"
"We're not soldiers!"
In the area where one of the engines was destroyed, Steve and Tony Stark argued about the recent death of Agent Phil Coulson at the hands of Loki. After Baldur simply disappeared in front of Fury's eyes, things quickly spiraled out of control. Shortly after, during a discussion about what to do, the ship was attacked by Hawkeye and other soldiers, and to top it off, Dr. Bruce transformed into the Hulk, creating even more chaos that resulted in Phil's death.
"I won't fight for Fury!" Tony said, still with tears in his eyes because of his friend's death.
"Neither will I. He has the same blood on his hands as Loki, but now we must overcome this and finish the job," Steve agreed.
Before the attack, all the Avengers discovered the second phase of Fury's plans to create weapons to deal with threats to the world. Unfortunately, some of the Avengers were considered threats, and they found out about it.
"Divide and conquer!" Tony said, almost ignoring Steve.
"How?" Steve asked, confused.
"Loki knows he needs to beat us to win the war, but he has to do it in a place where the whole world can see."
"Just like we saw in Stuttgart," Steve said, following Stark's reasoning.
"That was just the preview, now comes the real thing. Loki is a diva, he wants flowers, he wants parades, he wants a giant monument with his name engraved…"
Stark froze during his reasoning, and finally understood where the invasion would take place.
"Son of a gun!"
With that, Stark ran off to fetch his armor, and Steve went after more companions to help him win the fight, even without understanding what Stark had discovered.
Meanwhile, at the same moment in the emergency room of the aircraft carrier, Clint Barton was sitting on his bed trying to get used to his body. It's not that he was weak after waking up in bed, quite the contrary, he had never felt as strong as he is now.
"It's good to know that you're already well."
Clint looked up and saw his friend Natasha entering the infirmary.
"Natasha, how did you bring me back?" he asked, still confused about what had happened to him in the past few days.
"Explaining it simply, I hit you hard."
She explained, smiling as she sat in a chair next to the bed.
"My body, what happened to it?" he asked, finding his current vitality strange.
"That's probably because of that."
Natasha pointed to a golden tube on top of a small table, the tube given by Baldur, which was now glowing.
"I never thought that this thing would be so useful," he said.
"No one could touch it since you were knocked out, it just appeared here after we put you in bed."
"How long was I under control?" Clint seemed to remember something and became very nervous.
"Don't worry, they're fine," she reassured him, already knowing why he was nervous.
"Thank you for that," he thanked her.
Clint got up and went to the bathroom to change his clothes, and while he was there, Steve entered the room and spoke to Natasha.
"We're leaving."
"Where to?" she asked.
"I'll tell you on the way, do you know how to fly one of these jets?"
"I do," Clint said, returning to the room.
Steve looked at Natasha for confirmation that Clint was okay, she nodded affirmatively.
"Do you have any equipment?" he asked.
"I think I do," Clint said, looking at the golden tube.
"Then get ready."
After Steve and Natasha left to prepare, Clint went to the golden tube and picked it up. This time, the tube that had been unchanged for so long shone brightly, and when the light went out, Clint was now holding a long golden bow, delicate and beautiful, but Clint felt that the bow was simply perfect for him. The only thing he didn't notice was that his eyes had now changed to a strong golden color.
Tony managed to fix his armor enough to take him to Loki, the others then got one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. jets to take them, Clint and Natasha took control of the jet, and at maximum speed they headed to New York City. But during the trip, when everyone is silent and apprehensive, Natasha's daggers and Clint's new bow begin to glow slightly, drawing the attention of the three.
"What are these things going to do now?" Clint asked, looking at Natasha.
"Don't look at me, I'm not an expert," she replied.
[Can you hear me?]
A voice was heard, projected from the two weapons, a voice that Steve recognized.
"Baldur? Where are you?"
[I've been sealed in a place where I can't get to you, for now. I'm using the weapons I gave you to talk to you]
"Can we do anything to help you?" Steve asked.
[No. I'm doing everything I can to escape, I should succeed in time, you should already know where the attack site is, do what you must do, I'll appear later.]
"Understood."
Even though he wanted to help his friend, Steve knows that this is the only thing he can do right now.
[There's one more thing you can do, I'll tell you how to communicate with my men, they are on standby and have orders to attack the invaders, unfortunately, I can't do it myself, I'm already wearing myself out getting in touch with you.]
"A little support would be great," Natasha whispered.
[With my passwords, you will be able to give the order in my place, if they still doubt my password show them the weapons I gave you.]
Baldur then taught them how to get in touch with his men and gave them his passwords, Natasha opened a link with Tony, who arranged to send the message.
[It's getting hard to keep this up, I have to go now.]
After that sentence, the light from the weapons went out and Baldur's voice disappeared.
"First a tube turns into a bow, now the bow turns into a phone, I wonder if it also has internet access."
Clint joked about this insane situation for him.
POV: Third Person
Stark Tower, New York
At the Same Moment.
On the top floor of Stark Tower, Loki is sitting on the couch enjoying a drink, outside the apartment, Dr. Erik Selvig is working non-stop on the final details of the machine that will open the portal for the army to start the conquest.
"Why don't you grab a drink too? Maybe a little drink will lighten your mood."
Loki said, looking at the woman in green sitting in front of him, she was looking down with eyes without brightness and empty without any sign of life.
"I just want this day to end," Amora said in an almost inaudible voice.
"It will end in a little while according to the doctor, of course we count on your ability to succeed, that is if you fulfilled your deal."
"I fulfilled my part of the deal!"
Loki's words made Amora's empty eyes glow with anger. He didn't care about that and got up from the couch and started walking around the apartment looking at Amora.
"Really?"
He asked, standing behind Amora and putting his hand on her shoulder.
"You forgot that I was there, with your abilities, you could have banished my brother without being noticed, instead, you drew his attention, maybe you wanted him to land that punch on you, this makes me doubt your determination."
"I have already proven my determination. He will be trapped in your dimension until the spell is removed," she said confidently.
"Good. Because if he manages to escape, you who spent so much time with him should know what will happen to us. Only the wrath of the All-Father compares to the wrath of my brother."
Her body trembles at the thought of that possibility.
"It seems that the doctor has finally finished the work."
Loki takes his hand off Amora's shoulder and goes to where the doctor is and sees that everything is ready for his moment of glory.
"Let the conquest begin!"
He says, smiling.
