The preparations for the coronation are being carried out at an accelerated pace, with everyone working ten times faster. They were also very happy when they received the news of me becoming king. This means I will govern this land until my death. They think that my lineage will do the same. I will live longer than the planet Earth, so the need for descendants doesn't concern me much.
The streets and houses are now filled with floral decorations. It was said that the coronation will take place in front of the castle under construction. According to Viking traditions, several sacrifices should occur in the name of the gods to bless my reign. I opposed these traditions and prohibited them. I know I can't end these traditions overnight; they are deeply rooted in my people for centuries. So, I had them perform a different type of sacrifice: the residents had to sacrifice valuable objects by throwing them into the ocean as an offering. I know it doesn't make much sense, but it seemed to be well-received by the more ignorant ones.
My relationship with Amora has grown stronger over the past two weeks. She stopped working so hard, and we spent most of our time together. A few days before the coronation, she went to her base in the mountains, saying she needed to prepare for the occasion.
This reminded me that a coronation also means a wedding. She will be my queen, so yes, we will be married. My human side found that very fast, so to speak, but then I remembered that I am not human and that I will be with her for a long time. It may be quick, but I cannot imagine being with anyone else.
The most surprising thing was the gifts that magically appeared in my room. As I was going to bed, a golden light illuminated the room, revealing two items on my bed. The first was a green-covered book with the rune of knowledge engraved in the center. When I picked up the book, I felt its power, not the pure destructive power, but the power of knowledge.
On the first page of the book, I saw two lines written in beautiful calligraphy.
"For my brother Baldur, I wish you all the happiness in the world, Loki."
This was a rare book of runic magic. So ancient that it doesn't even have a name. I can't imagine how Loki got his hands on such a book.
The second gift was a tree branch almost one and a half meters long. I felt a great amount of natural energy emanating from the branch; it was a branch of Yggdrasil.
It truly was an immense gift. Anything built with this branch would have enormous power. If the book is for me, the branch must be a gift from my mother to Amora. If she turns the branch into a magical staff, not even the ancient one will be her equal in brute force.
I feel a little sad that my father didn't send me a gift, but I cling to the illusion that he can't do so. The idiot Thor probably didn't even bother to send a gift; perhaps after my departure, his arrogance and stupidity spiraled out of control, as in the original story.
*Knock Knock Knock*
I hear frantic knocks on my door.
"Come in."
A palace servant enters my room, fear evident on her face.
"Forgive me for interrupting, my lord, but outside the castle, a large animal has appeared."
"I'm coming."
Setting aside my gifts, I rush to the palace entrance. I'm surprised that someone managed to teleport a beast right in front of the palace. The island still lacks a force field, but Amora has placed several spells to detect enemies, with the strongest surrounding the palace.

As I step out of the door, I hear a familiar sound that I haven't heard since Asgard.
In front of the palace, surrounded by curious onlookers, stands Sleipnir, my father's horse, towering at three meters tall, entirely black with his eight legs.
Relaxing, I approach him and stroke his face.
"What are you doing here, my friend?"
Sleipnir nuzzles against me happily, as if responding. I turn to the still-observing crowd.
"It's okay; this horse belongs to my father."

Sleipnir seems to deny what I've said before looking back at me.
"No, this is my horse," I say, understanding.
Upon hearing this, Sleipnir becomes excited and begins to rear up on his hind legs happily.
(It seems my father has sent me a gift as well.)
When I was a child, Odin took me to the great stables of Asgard, where I met Sleipnir, a magical horse with eight legs that can fly and run at almost the speed of light. Now, I can travel anywhere in the world in seconds. I am truly delighted with my father's gift.
POV: Third Person
Royal Castle of Genosha
Day of the Coronation
The cheerful atmosphere has infected the island today. Children run and play throughout the city while men and women gather, conversing. This marks the first significant celebration since the founding of their city. The days were arduous before God Baldur descended from Asgard to hunt monsters, saving them all. Then he chose to stay with them, initiating the grand construction of the city.
Don't misunderstand; the people didn't resent the construction. They knew they and their children would be protected once everything was completed. Their god was kind and treated everyone gently, even imparting knowledge of the universe to their children. Many were apprehensive that such a leader would leave, as he never directly assumed command.
But everything changed two weeks ago when he proclaimed his coronation. So, when noon arrived, everyone gathered in front of the king's still-unfinished castle. The small children were hoisted onto their parents' shoulders for a better view, while the newly trained soldiers stood a bit ahead, preventing anyone from getting too close. In front of the castle now stood two thrones carved from wood—simple yet emanating an air of power.
Sieg, the spokesman of the god, emerged from the castle and positioned himself behind the two thrones, waiting in silence.
A bright green glow then blinded everyone for a second. When it faded, two figures stood in front of the thrones. The woman was simply stunning, with well-coiffed hair and wearing a long green dress adorned with matching jewels. Her beauty left all the men and even some women transfixed.
Beside her stood Baldur, adorned in golden armor with a crest of a golden sun with a spear in the center engraved on his chest. He was emitting a faint golden light and exuding a comforting warmth that everyone felt. If Amora's presence had frozen the men and women, he was setting them ablaze.
The two sat on the thrones without uttering a word. Sieg stepped forward and positioned himself behind Amora. On their side, the army's general, also from Asgard, entered carrying a tray of gold. Upon it rested two beautiful and delicate crowns, later revealed to be crafted by the king of the dwarves himself as a gift.
Sieg took the first crown, which was more ornate and delicate than the other, with a beautiful green jewel in the center. He raised it in the air and then placed it on the head of the now-queen Amora.
"With all the gods as witnesses, I proclaim Amora, Goddess of Sorcery and Seduction, Queen of Genosha!"
"AMORA, QUEEN OF GENOSHA!"
The excited crowd shouted.
Sieg then took the other crown and stood behind Baldur. Unlike the queen's crown, this one was more rugged, without extravagant details or jewels.
He lowered the crown slowly onto Baldur's head. As the crown settled, the golden glow around his body intensified, causing everyone to look at him with even greater reverence.
"With all the gods as witnesses, I proclaim Baldur Odinson, God of the Sun and Light, as King of Genosha!"
"BALDUR, KING OF GENOSHA!"
The crowd cheered even more enthusiastically than before. General Nordur stepped forward and knelt in front of the two, drawing his sword and planting it in the ground. All the soldiers followed suit, facing the king and queen and kneeling.
"I, General Nordur, leader of the Genosha army, along with my men, swear eternal loyalty to the king and queen until the day of our deaths."
"WE SWEAR LOYALTY!" the soldiers shouted.
King Baldur extended his hand, and in a golden glow, a spear appeared. He struck the ground with the base of the spear, releasing a wave of golden light that seemed to envelop the entire city before dissipating shortly afterward. With the display of power, all the villagers also knelt, silently swearing allegiance.
"I, Baldur Odinson, proclaim myself King of Genosha."
His voice was low, yet the entire island heard him.
"I, Baldur Odinson, swear to reign with justice, to protect all of Genosha until the day of my death, until the day Ragnarok falls upon us."
And thus, the coronation ended. Afterward, the king and queen left their thrones and vanished, and the entire city began a grand celebration with abundant food and drink.
This would be a historic day for the country of Genosha, the day of the birth of a god-king who led them to become the most powerful nation on Earth.
POV: Baldur
Behind the Royal Castle of Genosha
After the coronation
After the coronation went smoothly, I took Amora's hand and we ran to the back of the castle.
"Baldur, where are you taking me?" Amora asked, her face lit up with a big smile.
"It's a surprise, my queen," I replied with a grin.
As we reached the back of the castle, I saw Sleipnir waiting for us.
"Sleipnir? What is he doing here?" Amora asked, surprised.
"He was a gift from my father. You also received a gift from my mother, but I'll give it to you later. For now, we need to go."
"Go? Where?" she inquired, curious.
"Well, don't we deserve some time alone together?" I suggested.
Her smile widened until she remembered something. "And the island? Can we leave now? We've just become their kings."
"Everything's taken care of. I've spoken with everyone, and if there are any problems, they can inform us. It would only take seconds to return now."
"That's true," she agreed.
Beside Sleipnir, I helped Amora mount him, then climbed up myself, holding onto his reins.
"So, where are we going?" she asked, wrapping her arms around my waist.
"A sunny place with lots of beaches and waterfalls, and best of all, completely uninhabited," I replied.
"That sounds perfect to me," she said with a smile.
"Let's go, Sleipnir."
With my command, Sleipnir began to gallop, then gradually increased altitude. It was a strange sensation, riding through the skies. With a sudden burst of speed, everything blurred past us until we reached our destination.
