At 9:00 am of the next day, two black Maseratis are parked at the basement and an energetic couple walks past some employees in the walkway who were asking themselves about the reason for the abrupt meeting. However once the couple has barely moved an arm's length, one lady employee says"If me and my husband do not look like this, then we do not deserve each other" With that said, her friends she is moving with end up laughing at her thoughts and when they are about to gossip about something else, they are interrupted by Krane the personal assistant of Macdonald White who tells them to better save their words for another time since it is almost time for the meeting.Every one of the girls disperse so as to avoid gossip and converge at the company hall where the meeting is to be held.
The company hall in the HL group of companies is a wide space that was made in the company as an emergency meeting room Incase of any official communication required to be made with the large masses of people. This hall also doubles as a party hall Incase of any company parties such as end of year parties since HL groups of companies loves to save and invest more than spending un necessarily.
In the Company hall
Mac White: Each and everyone of you is most welcome and am glad about the big numbers that have turned up.
Crowd: Thank you.
Mac White : I will get straight to the point, today I am here to announce that I have resigned from my position as the CEO of HL Group of Companies.
The crowd whispers to themselves, what is not happening?
MacWhite: Silence! allow me finish first.
The crowd stops murmuring and Mac White goes ahead to explain that this is basically his decision and not anyone else's and he is not being forced. After he says this , one employee raises his hand and he is chosen to speak.
Employee: Excuse me Sir, sorry to interrupt your speech but without you we highly doubt the business will run properly.
Mac White: I appreciate the compliment you have made about my success but I want you to know whether I am here or not, HL group of companies will continue and in my position as CEO, Alfred White my son is to be my replacement.
Employees in the room start murmuring amongst themselves but are interrupted by Krane' s claps. Krane starts clapping about the good news he has received because at least he gets to keep his job as an assistant and with that everyone else in the room claps up on the new development to show they are ready for the new change.
However Mac White tells them that everything aside , they should put together their hands to welcome their new president Mrs.Diana White.
The room goes silent at the mention of Diana because no one in the whole country does not know her but after a short time, claps are heard in the whole entire hall .
Mac White calls Alfred to give his speech .
Alfred: I am so honored to be standing in front of such successful people like you .
Everyone: ( claps)
Alfred: I do know that this is so saddening and abrupt but I want you to know that you can trust that I am going to do a very good job in expanding HL as a company interms of profits and also as a home because to most of us here it is a source of livelihood .With proper coordination we might even exceed the profits made by my father .
Thank you all for listening to me , I do hope for the best .
Once the speech is done, the room is filled by thunderous claps as a sign of approval from everyone.
After Alfred's speech, he invites Diana to have a word or two with the employees who are eagerly waiting in anticipation for her speech because today marks the first day in HL group of companies to have a president and what is more amusing is that she is a woman and his wife.
Diana: I am grateful for the opportunity given to me to talk to all of you in your different capacities. As the president of HL group of Companies and second to the CEO I do want to put some points across.
One , I want all of us to be serious when it comes to work and by that I mean that all the different departmental heads at the end of every week must ensure they send me reports in regards to how each of the department is running plus the most important activities that require approval of the top management .
Two, I will not in the least tolerate disrespect of any form especially amongst yourselves.
Three, this goes to the managers , once you find that am not available for consultation, then I advise you contact my secretary who I will soon introduce to all of you.
I know right now you are saying am overly serious yet new on the job but I prefer being on the same page with the people am walking with the same path such that when mistakes do happen, I do have where I refer to before a penalty is given out for any inconveniences caused in the company.
Last but not least all budgets of all activities have to go through me so as there is proper planning made with the CEO of HL.

Once Diana is done with the speech, everyone else is pleased including her father in law and husband and everyone in the hall stands up to give their new president a round of applause.
Everyone is dismissed from the hall so only three people are left in the room that is Diana, Mac White and Alfred White .
Mac White: I am beginning to feel we made the right decision to select you two as the heir and heiress.
Diana: Dad stop flattering me.
Alfred White: Indeed because I assure you we are going to be something else in the history of business.
Mac White: For a moment there Diana took on the leadership role so serious just on the first day which made me realize that if I had a daughter, I would definitely prefer her to a son.
Alfred White: Dad!
Diana White just laughs at her father in law 's words and takes in the compliments thrown at her by her proud father- in - law.
