This was the second time Sui had been asked the same question, but her answer remained unchanged.
"I would still like to help you out with your goal. Mother is destroying this kingdom slowly. She wants revenge for her anger, and your father is just a victim."
Sui mustered the courage to utter the words that had long been suppressed within her.
Her mother was too angry to go against her, and no one in Sui's life could listen to her complaints. It was just easier not to say anything aloud.
Sui's heart felt lighter after her confession. She felt like a burden had been removed and was now accessible.
"You are aware that your mother is a poison to this kingdom. But you do not speak up in front of her. Is it because your mother is scary? Are you afraid of her?"
The crown prince was now poking Sui's wounds. It felt dangerous to let him speak.
