"Sui, are you alright? You did not react to a thing I said to you. Did you even listen to what we talked about this whole time?"
Lady Misha looked sadly at Sui, knowing fully that Sui had tuned her out sometime in the middle of their return journey.
But even if it looked like Sui had backed out and not listened to something being said, that was not true. Sui had been listening to what Lady Misha was saying…for the most part.
"I did hear you, Lady Misha. I would love to attend the tea party you will host after the Imperial ball. I can extend my stay by at least a day for my friend."
Sui confirmed with a happy smile, but Lady Misha did not look as happy as she should have.
"We moved from this topic quite a while ago, Sui. Is something bothering you? Did I bore you enough that you lost focus? Should I change the topic we were talking about?"
