Sui battled with sleep, her mind restless under the weight of Grand Duke Lucius's favour, a burden that refused to let her rest.
Her body also ached due to her intense activity the day prior. The lack of rest caught up with her, and Sui did not remember how the night had gone.
She only knew that she lay on the bed and tried to fall asleep all night, only to be disappointed.
Her eyes had darn circles underneath them, which scared the poor aide who came to wake Sui up.
"Hey, it is time to wake up now. I know it is early, but Grand Duke would like to start the say soon…. did you not sleep last night? You look like shit! I mean, your complexion looks bad."
The aide complained as soon as his eyes fell on Sui.
Sui could see that the aide was trying his best to hold back his concern for Sui.
But he could not hold back his concerned words no matter how much he tried.
