'Should I stop the princess? No wait! What do I even say to her to stop her? This is her stable, and these are her people. The princess will get angry if I do anything unnecessary, right?'
The guard knew he was in trouble as he watched the princess enter the stable.
Before the princess opened the door, she turned around to look at the guard.
That gave him hope the princess would turn around and not enter the building.
"Who owns this stable? I suddenly have an urge to destroy it. I want to ensure the owner does not annoy me later."
The princess's question left the guard speechless.
He knew the princess was careless at times, but he did not think it was this bad.
"Princess, this is your stable. It was a gift from the emperor for your fifth birthday because you liked his horse. Don't you remember?"
The guard asked while trying his best to remain calm.
"Oh! Is that so? Then I guess I don't need to care about this getting destroyed."
The princess continued walking inside and paused abruptly, causing the guard to collide with her.
He quickly took notice of what had caused the princess to stop walking.
The guard watched as the new stable boy jerked a slave around before throwing her in the pen.
Everyone gasped, and somehow, the guard knew that this pen did not belong to an average horse.
"Princess, please permit me to go and help that servant. We need to get her out before she gets squashed to death."
The guard stepped forward, only to be stopped by the princess in his path.
"Just where do you think you are going? I have not permitted you to move yet."
The princess's gaze pinned the guard in his place.
Even if he wanted to move, he could not move because of the pressure his system was experiencing.
"T-Then, do you have a plan-"
"She will die! Oh god! That horse is bloody mad. He will kill that poor slave."
"What should we do? Should we pretend that this was an accident? But what if that girl survives and tells everyone what happened?"
"Young master Song, s-shouldn't we help her out?"
People looked freaked out as they watched Sui dodge the attacking horse.
Her coordination looked clumsy, and the small space in the enclosure limited Sui's moments.
Despite that, Sui continued to dodge as best as she could until she could not physically dodge anymore.
The slave seemed to have accepted her death when the guard felt uncomfortable.
He could not explain his feelings, but it felt as if he was being pressured to lower his head.
'Is it the princess-'
The guard looked up, only to notice the princess's wide grin and shining eyes.
"So, I was not mistaken. My bunny does have fangs!"
The princess whispered in a soft but maniacal voice before ripping the guard's sword off and throwing it like an arrow.
Metal flew across the distance and finally took the horse down. The pressure surrounding the guard instantly dropped as soon as the horse died.
"Guard, hurry up and detain everyone in here. How dare they sully the princess's name and honor. We must teach these fools they cannot mess with the royal family."
'H-Huh! You want me to do what? Princess, you've never cared for the imperial name before. So why are you suddenly making use of it now?'
The guard could not understand anything that went through the princess's mind.
But one thing he did know was that he had the orders to follow what he was given.
"Let's start with the leader first. Once I have him, I am sure everyone else will fall into place."
People were still freaked out about him, so no one paid attention to the guard until he reached the 'young master' and caught his arm.
"Hey, what are you doing? Let me go. Do you know who I am? I will have your head for daring to touch me."
The young man continued to thrash around in anger, but the guard was too experienced and powerful to let him escape.
"Yeah, sure! You can tell me all about how strong you are in the prison. Per the princess's orders, I will take you into custody now."
The guard informed the young man, causing the others around him to gasp.
They understood who had given this order, and their eyes instantly moved to look toward the princess.
On the other hand, the fool who caused this mess did not even realize the danger he was in.
"Who dares to…what are you doing? Do you know who I am and who oversees this stable? You will all get into trouble-"
The guard felt an incoming headache and quickly knocked the brat out before it could develop further.
"Don't you dare try to run from here? This stable incident will be investigated, and anyone who tried to interfere will be dealt with. It will be best for you all to head back and cooperate with the investigation."
The guard informed the small group, now calmly looking over them.
The servants looked terrified as they tried to keep their calm.
"W-Will we be okay? Will the princess punish us? What about our families? They are innocent and bear no guilt. Will they be punished as well?"
These servants looked terrified of their future, and for good reason.
Unfortunately, the guard did not have an answer for them.
Everything now depended on Princess Yunjin's mood as well as mercy.
The princess walked right through the middle of that small group, her large hand grabbing and dragging Sui's smaller one along.
The princess's smile contradicted the splash of red on her clothes, and somehow, that blood did not look out of place on her body.
"Get someone to clean this place up. I will be returning to my chamber with my new guard."
The princess sounded happier and more content to have the slave by her side.
It was not until much later that the guard realized he had been left with the clean-up work by his superior.
But by that point, it was too late to complain.
