"Head maid, I've brought you lunch. Do you want me to come inside and serve it?"
Sui asked as she stood outside the door and tried to hear any sounds of what was happening inside the room.
However, no matter how good Sui's ears were, they would fail to catch any sound deep inside a palace complex.
'There is no way the head maid will be able to hear anything I say from this far away. Should I risk going deeper inside the palace? But it would be a bother if the head maid fussed about it.'
Sui was conflicted about her choices - whether to go on or not.
In the end, Sui's choice was finally taken away. The head maid came back and noticed Sui with food in her arms.
"It was about time for you to come back. Give me your tray, and you can head inside now."
The head maid clarified that Sui was prohibited inside without saying anything about it.
Sui was also smart enough not to ask her anything.
