Sasha remembered the mark burning as it seeped into her skin, but she did not remember much else.
But it hurt, and Sasha's eyes rolled into the back of her head.
The next time she woke up, she was alone in the burned-down field with the bodies of her entire village charred around her.
It was a nightmarish scene that she would never be able to forget for as long as she lived.
