Chapter 3 - First Life 2:Awakening Battle

I could see the lightening dance on the axe as it headed for my head. I would be dead as soon as it hit me. Dieing in my first ever battle after finding out about this world how heroic. In the nick of time a pop up appeared "Would the player like to give up his fat to be consumed by the demon devourer in exchange for power".

Without thinking twice I accepted the request and felt my body begin to heat up, the demon devourer of swords began to emanate an eerie red glow. With my last strength I took up the sword and cut through her her axe breaking it, with the sword headed for her neck.

Before she could react I had perfectly cleaved of her head. A pop up appeared "Boss: Graceful Axe defeated, rewards in inventory". I went through the inventory to see that I had received her armour and learnt her skill Blood Axe which I could use on my sword. In my case it had changed to Blood Rage.

I collapsed onto the ground out of exhaustion with the devourer of swords disappearing into my inventory. I woke up to find myself in my room how I managed to pull myself together to reach here, I don't remember. As I was thinking about this while facing the mirror, I suddenly realized the person in the mirror wasn't me and I jumped away.

I slowly crept up to the mirror and saw a different face looking at me. I realized that I had accepted a pop up about exchanging fat for power. That would explain how slim I had become, my clothes were a little bit more baggy.

I realized I looked quite handsome being slim, and that I could finally ask my childhood best friend "Alicia" out. Then it dawned on me the revelation that she had died last night.

No one knew what happened they had woken up to meet her body on the road. The doctors claim she had lost too much blood, but there were no wounds or cuts on her skin. Even in death she looked as flawless as ever.

Death, that's right, Lilith had cursed me to be reincarnated till she got tired. Well I still have a long way ahead then.
