"I finally finished washing these dishes. I better get started on cutting the salad after all the washing machine is broken, so closing will be hard tonight." She'll think to herself as she grabs her cart and goes to the freezer to grab the lettuce, her blonde hair laying messily in her hair net.
She'll head back to the table, her arms shivering slightly from the coldness of the freezer, her uniform with specks of fallen frost on it, and clean the lettuce before putting them on the cutting board. Before she grabs the knife, she notices a red knife that glimmers almost otherworldly, seeming to be made of a material she has yet to see.
She'll pick up the knife, feeling comfortable in her hands. Half way through cutting all the salad, she'll nick her thump, luckily not deep enough to draw blood but still deep enough to hurt. As she continues to cut the salad, she pauses, looking at her hands, and feels dizzy at the thought that they aren't her hands and neither are her arms. She'll start to panic before looking at her ring finger. The deep blue heart-shaped gem of her engagement ring brings comfort, but not before a thirst and the craving for meat set in.
She drinks the water that she gets every day before her shift, but it does nothing as she thinks to herself, What is this thirst?
She finishes her shift; her thirst has only grown stronger, and a sensitivity to light is developing. As she walks out of the store, Sora sees her partner waiting in the car at the entrance. A smile forms on her face as she realizes that even with all of her issues, she can feel normal around her partner
