Chapter 17 - Choosing carbon based as the carrier of the soul is inevitable

To add an extra perspective, in the material universe of the solar system that humans currently know, it is essentially composed of 29 essential chemical elements, among which "carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen" are the core components due to their highest abundance, making them the four most important elements. Among them, "carbon" holds the utmost importance, as existing scientific analysis results show that carbon plays a supportive and decisive role in the structure and function of cells. Therefore, life on Earth, including humans, is known as "carbon-based life," and the civilization we humans constitute is called "carbon-based civilization.".

It's important to remember that these four chemical elements were chosen as the fundamental elements because there are no other alternatives in this universe.

In fact, from the perspective of stability, silicon-based beings, which are in the same group as carbon-based beings, may have a longer lifespan, which carbon-based beings refer to as "longevity". Not choosing silicon as the carrier for the soul does not mean that it is not excellent, but rather it is limited by two factors, which have been proven by modern "science". The first reason is the scarcity of silicon-based elements in the universe. This is because in the rules of the solar system universe, hydrogen is the most abundant element, but this element and silicon are not sensitive. The derivation and possibilities during creation are too limited. Due to the limited resources required for "carrier" experiments, there are not enough resources to support silicon-based experiments and produce uncertain outcomes. Another reason is that time is running out. Although higher races have broken through the limitations of the body, in the solar system universe, the scarcity of resources and the lack of additional resources from the mother ship mean that even higher races will face the destruction of their physical carriers one day, and the soul has no other carrier to withstand the so-called "death" and "dispersal". Therefore, creating a way to allow species and civilizations to exist within this limited resource in the shortest possible time is the most important task.

Creating suitable carrier tools on a completely desolate planet requires vast knowledge storage and materials. The former serves as the foundation for creation, while the latter involves combining existing knowledge with the actual elements of the solar system and universe through experimentation to turn knowledge into reality. In the 4 billion years since the birth of Earth, through numerous experiments and the accumulation of "accidental" factors, single-celled life capable of carrying a "soul" was finally born. This life can carry a soul, can self-replicate or multiply, and can barely adapt to the created environment. Although there are various accidents in the process of creation, as philosophical theory states, "when the quantity reaches a certain level, a qualitative change will occur." Although the possibility of these accidental experiments failing seems infinite, as long as continuous experimentation and accumulation are made, with sufficient experimental materials and time accumulation, the "inevitability" that is ultimately born will definitely exist - it's just that the time for this inevitability to appear may be a little longer or shorter. In fact, in the past 4 billion years, modern humans do not know how many times the "accidental" factors have appeared and how many times they have failed. Modern scientists constantly imagine and explore this probability and try to simulate it, all ending in failure; and the reason for this failure is largely due to our modern resources and time being unable to interfere with the creation and change of these environments, because changing the environment requires investing a tremendous amount of resources.

Through continuous environmental modification, carbon-based "carriers" that can adapt to the environment are produced. Afterwards, improvement experiments on these carriers begin, and these experiments include injecting the genes of organisms from the mother ship into the carriers, thereby generating a diverse range of species, including minerals, animals, plants, and other colorful and diverse survival chains.
