Seeking redemption for not aiding in the fight against Commander Ignis, third in command of the demonic army, Lord Arion decided to depart to gain strength and better understand humans. He settled in a human village, where he developed a deep affection for the inhabitants and worked as an adventurer, solving the villages' problems.
One day, in the distance, he spotted the second-in-command of the demon king, a putrid, grotesque, and bloodthirsty being, wielding daggers in both hands. He alerted the village and suggested they flee to the north. They decided to follow his advice, but the villagers, unaccustomed to long walks, were delayed in their march.
Seeing the urgency of the situation, Lord Arion made the decision to fight alone to keep the villagers safe as they headed towards Forjgris. Trusting in his skills as a warrior, he confronted the demon with determination and valor, ready to protect the defenseless.
Meanwhile, the villagers moved northward, each step filled with fear and anxiety about what the future held. Grateful for Lord Arion's sacrifice, they prayed for his safety and the success of his mission.
The battle loomed ahead, and Lord Arion was ready to face his destiny with bravery and determination, willing to fight for the survival of those he had sworn to protect.
After waking up in Thornfel, the group decided to set out with King Taranis, his royal guard, the dwarf messengers, Niamh, Alex, Lyria, and Elren towards Forjgris. Their first challenge was to cross the dreaded Spiderwood Forest, but thanks to the knowledge of the Semibeast guards, they found a safe path that avoided alerting the spiders.
As they emerged from the forest, they encountered villagers running for help. Their distressed faces and urgent pleas urged the group to stop and listen to their concerns.
"Please, we need help!" exclaimed one of the villagers, breathing heavily. "Lord Arion is alone facing the army! Lord Arion warned us to flee north, but we're worried about him!"
The group exchanged worried looks before Alex stepped forward. "What demonic creature? What does it look like?"
The villagers described the demon commander with horror, recalling the details vividly. As they listened, determination shone in Niamh and Elren's eyes, while Lyria clenched her fists decisively.
"We must help them," Niamh said firmly. "We cannot let evil take hold of these lands."
Elren frowned, remembering the villagers' words. "Lord Arion won't be able to face that creature alone. He'll need our help."
Recognizing the description of the demon and recalling the losses their elite warriors had suffered at his hands, Elren felt a shiver run down his spine. "We must go to his aid. And quickly."
With a newfound sense of purpose, the group set out to help the villagers prepare for the impending battle.
