The situation just got turned for the worse. I need a plan for this one. One sentient is already hard enough. Fighting two of them while also in their evolved form just made it all worse. Not to mention the growing panic I'm feeling right now.
No.
I-I need to calm down. I took a deep breath and exhale it slowly. It took a few moments but the panic I felt earlier is slowly dissapearing. Now with a clear mind, I resume my focus and think of my current situation. I'm currently alone with two evolved sentients that are set on eliminating me. Knowing my current pitiful state and their sudden increase in power, I have absolutely no chance of defeating them. My only choice is to escape. Now I just need to plan ho-
Both of them suddenly moved at the same time. Their elongated claws are positioned to dismember my body. Their speed is quite instantaneous. It felt like they just teleported right in front of me.
I can't dodge it. Their movements are too fast for me to comprehend.
Is this how I die again?
A sudden white flash descended upon us. The sudden incident caused the two generals to halt their assault and focus their attention on what seems to be an intruder.
The intruder turned out to be a chivalry. Juha is standing in front of me with a form I've never seen before. Her dark hair was turned snow white. She has her wings being shown for all of us to see but I immediately noticed that she gained additional two pair of wings. Her wings are now mostly composed of ice particles. Cold mists are coming out of her wings and a few snowflakes are falling to the ground. Her blank mask had numerous cracks all over it. Over all, she looks angelic.
"Juha. You're here." I spoke in relief.
"I am, my king."
With her here, the odds against those two generals are at least equalled in measure. Looking at Juha in all her glory, I couldn't help the relief and gratitude I felt. However, a small feeling insecurity is starting to manifest inside of me.
Here I am, a king. A bona-fide sentient with an army of my own but now, all the said army is destroyed, my friend is brutalized, and I am probably useless in this fight. Damn it. I thought all I've done for all these few months is for me to never feel powerless again.
Juha looks towards me and rest her right hand on my shoulder.
"My King. Please do not be so insecure of yourself. You are not weak. You are just not ready yet."
My eyes widened at her statement. I felt struck. Like the world just suddenly stopped as I processed her words.
"I-I wha-...how did you-"
She let out a giggle due to my stuttering. Man, this is so embarrassing. I feel like an idiot.
"I can see it in your eyes. You need to stop hating yourself. Don't worry, you are still at an early stage of development. There are still enough room for you to grow."
"I-...Thank you, Juha."
She smiled at my response. "Good cuz this is just a turn off for me. I don't like my king to be sub. I like my king to be a dominator especially when we're finally gonna mate in bed. "
And just like that, she just squashed the overall atmosphere. Damn it Juha. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle. I couldn't fault her that much though since I understand what she's trying to do. But still…well whatever.
She's right. I have to stop being like this.
"You are one crazy woman. Let's just eliminate this two pests. I have a lot of work to do once we're done here."
"Now, that's my king."
With that out of the way, I shift my focus back on the two figures standing a few feet from us. Juha does the same.
"Are you two done? Good, cuz hearing all that mushy crap is just disgusting", Horan mockingly.
"If it bothered you that much, why didn't you do something about it?", I replied.
"Because…uh. Damn it."
"You are an idiot."
"Shut your mouth, Garka...Now, where were we?" Horan summoned a long blade from his tail. The blade is a bit similar to the one he used during our earlier battle. The only difference now is that it's shaped like that of scythe and is dark in color.
He dashed towards me. Juha tried to intercept but was unable to due to Garka tackling her to the side. I braced myself for another round of battle against a general once again.
…
Juha is currently flying up high in midair trying to avoid the incoming beams fired by Garka. The beams are coming out of his multiple heads.
"You're here. Looks like Serbara failed."
"At what?"
"Killing you. I suppose I expected too much from her."
Juha tilted her head in confusion.
"Really? You're one to talk considering she is several times stronger than you, Garka. What does that tell you from here?"
"A lot has changed since you left, Juha. I am far stronger than I was before."
"Didn't you just died earlier from my king? Also, that doesn't change the fact Serbara can still kill you several times over."
"I will not listen from traitorous slut such as you. You're words mean nothing."
Their battle continues from then on. Meanwhile…
…
I was sent flying to a nearby destroyed facility. My body crashed through the hard floor before stopping due to a wall. I lost count how many times I got sent flying, crashing through objects, and so on. Being a sentient sure gave me quite a boost in durability but there's so much my body can take before I collapse.
I quickly stood up and ducked to avoid a slash from his tail. My black-miasma coated hand was sent to hit him but was blocked by his blade. When my fist hit it, I was surprised that it didn't immediately melt. Further more, I could feel it trying to suck my strength so I quickly retracted my hand. I stepped back a few feet to avoid the incoming strike from his left hand.
Once I stopped, I got surprised when I nearly buckled due to my sudden loss of strength. My body felt weak. My arms and legs felt heavy.
"What the-"
I heard him laugh when he noticed my confusion.
"What did you do?" I demanded.
"Now that would be telling, isn't it?" He leaped towards me with his claws and blade ready to strike me but I moved out of the way. Little by little, I noticed that whenever I touch his blade or whenever he hit me with it, my strength would rapidly decrease. It seems that the first absorption from earlier is related to this. His blade…
I have to finish this quickly but how?
As I ponder my thoughts, Horan wasted no time in resuming his attacks. He is quick, vicious, and relentless as expected. His strikes combined with his blade made me go on a defensive strategy. Though this is quite a danger in all itself as my strength is repeatedly getting absorbed. This is not good. I gotta think of a plan…
Something suddenly bursted through the wall right in front of us. We immediately moved out of the way between us as It rolled through the floor before it stopped its own momentum. Both Horan and I got curious on who this person might be but it turns out to be none other than Garka. His body had numerous cuts and bruises. Of his heads got cut off leaving the neck gushing out blood like a fountain.
Juha came out from the hole he came out from. She also suffered some damage but not as much as Garka.
Now all of us are standing off face to face just like before. Horan and Garka on one side while Juha and I on the other. All of us prepared once more to resume our battle but we suddenly heard a loud rumbling sound of horns.
The sound is so loud that it vibrated through the building. All of us had mixed reaction when we heard the strange noise. Horan and Garka suddenly looked elated while I got wary on their strange behavior. I looked at Juha and noticed her suddenly staying still.
"Juha? What's going on?"
"No, no…"
Her muttering is slowly making me worried for her. Why is she like this? I observed her posture and was surprised when I saw her slightly shaking. I had never seen her like this. Is it because of the noise? A laugh from Horan broke me out my thoughts.
Even without his lips, I could feel him smiling right at me.
"It's too late for you now. Both of you will surely die today."
"What do you mean?" I demanded.
He only let out a chuckle as he stared at me right in the eye.
"He's here."
