Chapter 122 - A goddess wants to get involved?

The energy beam was extremely powerful, surrounded by intense divine energy that seemed to embody the union of the heavens and superiority—truly intriguing elements.

Facing this energy, I teleported in front of it, and my Wook appeared in my right hand.

I infused it with my three energies: internal energy, strong mental energy, and soul energy.

My mental sea roared with force, and within my soul, a powerful fire vibrated with divine energy. A great dragon seemed to emerge from my soul and roared.

The Wook grew to an enormous size and advanced toward the invading energy. A transparent energy with streaks of green, originating from the divine beast in my mental sea, and a red-orange energy enveloped the weapon.

As the attacks clashed, three silhouettes appeared.

On one side, a woman with purple hair exuded an overwhelming divine presence, carrying herself like a great queen of the heavens.

The other two silhouettes were divine beasts fighting together—a mighty divine turtle with a gigantic shell and a red-orange Western dragon with an ancient aura.

The woman tried to defend herself and destroy the two beasts, but her resistance proved futile. The amount of energy she possessed was insufficient to withstand the force of her opponents.

In the end, the dragon and the divine turtle bit into her body, tearing her apart and seemingly feeding on her energy. I felt a small boost, but before I could celebrate, a powerful scream echoed.

"ACKK!!! How dare a mere mortal meddle in the affairs of the gods?! Don't let me catch you!"

I looked at her fading silhouette with indifference, my divine eyes piercing through her image. She began to feel violated as a crown appeared on my head, daringly competing with her aura of royalty.

"Biologically speaking, I would be more of a demigod—or rather, a being with Olympian blood. And even if I weren't, your actions harmed my father and my family, so I cannot forgive you. Stay out of my sight and do not interfere with my family," I spoke with arrogance and authority.

After saying this, I drew more of my Soul Energy and directed the ancient divine flames around my Wook, forming a small, dense, concentrated thorn.

With a simple flick of my finger, the thorn pierced her chest, eliciting an even more agonizing scream.

The silhouettes disappeared, and my Wook returned to the mark on my right wrist.

Despite my victory, I let out a tired sigh—my synergies had consumed more energy than I expected. Only my physical energy remained intact.

In an instant, Uncle Ares appeared by my side, speaking apologetically.

"Forgive me for not interfering. It would have been problematic for me to act twice, and I sensed you were capable of handling it."

I didn't mind and simply nodded. I understood his position and wasn't particularly bothered by it.

My gaze returned to the battle below, where I saw that my father had finally eliminated the two Chimeras. Afterward, his energy surged drastically.

'Indeed... The seal I saw inside his body seems to be embedded with a unique energy and is fulfilled as missions are completed. From what I discussed with my uncle while observing my father's fight, he explained that despite being created with the energy of the King God and the Queen Goddess of Olympus, it followed the rules of the Fates. Therefore, regardless of the will of the two ruling gods, as long as the challenges are met, his power will return.'

I felt satisfied—this meant I wouldn't have to interfere too much.

A notification appeared.

I was intrigued as the mission screen appeared.

Mission: Greek Theous: The First Verse.

Objective I: Prevent the interference of the Queen Goddess Hera and intimidate her slightly so she won't act so easily.

Objective II: ?????

Rewards: Fundamentals of Fuuinjutsu and Juinjutsu.

The first objective was expected—it was indeed the Queen. As for the second... I wasn't sure, but for some reason, my uncle's strangely fervent gaze directed at me seemed to be a possible clue.

However, what intrigued me the most was the reward.

I was already planning to use my karma points to acquire something similar—knowledge related to magic, magical circles, sigils, or runes. I was torn between Fuuinjutsu and Juinjutsu from Naruto, rune magic from Fairy Tail, magical circles and runes from fantasy worlds, or the magic and witchcraft from Dragon Ball, among others.

My preference was something that wouldn't consume Soul Energy so I could combine it with my internal energy and HP witchcraft. The system had now given me the direction I needed—I just had to train using this reward and spend my points to acquire more knowledge from the system.

Given my strong mental power and divine eyes, plus the extended time in the cultivation chamber, studying these arts should be feasible.

Satisfied, I slowly descended, planning to resolve this matter later as I headed toward my parents.

3rd POV

In a hidden dimension…

Atop an endless mountain stood a colossal temple, entirely made of refined marble, surrounded by energy and countless magical and divine symbols. The place was covered in clouds, and below the mountain, numerous mythical and unusual beings roamed.

Centaurs ran at great speed, creatures soared through the skies, and nymphs cultivated and tended to trees and other plants.

Inside the temple, a woman with purple hair wore a garment called a chiton, in shades of soft violet, white, and gold. She possessed immense beauty and radiated an aura of royalty, power, and divinity.

At that moment, she was looking downward as if trying to see something far beneath the clouds.

Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock, and a small trickle of blood dripped from her lips.

She elegantly wiped it away with a cloth that seemed to appear from nowhere.

"Intriguing... That young man was the son of the god Gabriel? I could feel his Olympian blood—it even seemed more concentrated than normal. However, there was no divine power or energy flowing from his blood. On the contrary, aside from the presence of DNA, it was as if any divine traits or powers had been forcibly removed and used to nurture something else."

She murmured with curiosity, her gaze sharpening.

"If that is true, then what exactly did I witness...? I managed to observe from afar and saw him using magic. Not to mention that divine energy veil that prevented me from delving deeper into his secrets. Even more troubling was that strange weapon—I felt strong divine and mental energy coming from it, as well as the soul of a powerful divine beast embedded within it."

"And… the flame."

She extended her hand, summoning a trace of the energy that had harmed her. Though the wound was minor and had already healed, she enveloped her hand in green and purple divine energy, erasing the trace of fire.

"Somehow, he possesses a flame that seems to rival, or perhaps even surpass, Prometheus—containing divine energy, fire energy, and the energy of the ancient gods... Intriguing."

Even as she pondered, there was no clear explanation for what she had seen.

In the end, she sighed.

"I cannot interfere any further. If I descend or take any more action, Sister Demeter or the Fates may act against me… or worse, the sorcerers—especially the Ancient One—might intervene, or some of the other pantheons and beings on Earth."

She turned her head, retrieving a goblet of intoxicating and enchanting wine, taking a deep sip that helped her relax.

"Dionysus truly has the best wine. Well, I won't do anything more. This matter concerns my useless husband, after all. I've already done him a favor—he can handle the rest. I don't particularly dislike the god Gabriel. About the possibility of his brother's revival… Unless his sister intervenes, he won't succeed alone."

She spoke with confidence, though for a brief moment, two pairs of blue eyes and the image of a young man shrouded in mist and darkness surfaced in her mind.

But she shook off the thought and left.

It was better to focus on punishing one of her husband's mistresses… or cutting off a certain part of him. Though, due to her oath to Olympus, she couldn't.

MC POV

Back on the ground, I saw my father.

Rather than exhausted or injured, his body radiated even more power and vitality. His combat ability had increased significantly. My mother stood beside him, looking pleased and happy.

I glanced at the monster's body and, having already revealed my flames to fend off the goddess, simply released a trace of fire to burn both corpses.

My parents sensed the energy of the flames and turned to their creator.

Seeing their son, they both smiled.

"Come, dear," they said in unison.

I approached and embraced them.

My uncle stood awkwardly, a hint of envy and longing in his expression.

Noticing this, I called him over.

"Come, Uncle."

"Cough, cough. That's not necessary—"

Ignoring his weak protest, I created several threads from my left hand and pulled him in. He could have resisted, but he chose not to, allowing himself to be part of the embrace.

An unusual hug between four people took place, yet a gentle familial warmth was shared.
