Once I bought it, an ancient scroll, almost like a black book, appeared before me. Knowledge flooded into my mind, and a new ability began influencing my soul. Some time passed. It was around midnight, and just as I was about to sleep, a message popped up on my phone in the secret Guardian Sword Alliance channel.
My eyes opened, glowing purple with intense, alluring soul power, and I quickly read the message, which made me sit up abruptly.
[Peter: Love! I found something really strange… I managed to retreat, but it was some kind of weird black creature that tried to take over my body. Luckily, my bioelectric power fended it off, and I quickly escaped.]
I responded instantly.
[Adrian: Baby, I know we don't have class tomorrow. But what are you doing out so late? Don't go near that thing again, and tell me where you are.]
[Peter: Sorry… I'm at this address…]
He spoke and sent me a new location.
I didn't delay; dressed in my outfit and divine power, I used Kai Kai to teleport, noticing that it felt lighter and smoother this time. I appeared atop a clocktower and spotted Peter nearby. With wind under my feet, I arrived in front of him and inspected him carefully. Fortunately, I didn't see any injuries, so I lifted both his Majin mask and mine and kissed him to calm myself a bit.
"What exactly did you encounter?" I asked. He furrowed his brow but responded after a moment.
"It was strange… it reminded me of that gooey alien of yours, but grosser, as if it used others' bodies and even tried to use mine… It was black and slimy."
His description was unusual, but I wasn't sure if it was a mystical or dimensional being or some alien life form.
We decided to move together. I flew up while he kept pace, using his webs for support.
My strong mental power scanned the area carefully. My eyes glowed with energy, and my Haki pierced through everything, eventually identifying the strange being after a few minutes. It was attached to a human body, a gigantic black creature with a monstrous mouth and a rather nasty tongue.
I sent a psychic command for Peter to stay back. The creature was eating a human brain, which was disgusting, but I looked at it indifferently.
"Who—or better yet, what—are you?"
It seemed to hesitate with the language for a moment before a voice emerged.
"My name is Vitrir … a symbiote… but for you, my snack, that won't matter…"
As it finished, multiple tentacles lashed out with ultra-fast speed. My lightsaber was in my right hand. Despite the quick movements, my eyes and Haki tracked everything perfectly. Adding wind and Qi for extra speed, I spun my saber, slicing each tentacle in half.
However, this didn't stop it easily, and I feared it might try to attack Peter. I raised my free hand toward it.
"Ice Make: Lance."
Numerous cold, blue ice lances shot from a magic circle, striking its body directly. However, they only seemed to slow its movements slightly, as other tentacles shattered the lances. It looked at me with those monstrous white eyes, appearing more cautious.
"You must have a tasty body… but… not very edible…" it said, lunging with a tentacle aimed at me.
"Ice Make: Shield."
An ice shield appeared in front of me, blocking it, but two punches broke through. Seeing this, I grew annoyed, and a powerful aura of domination spread around me. My mental power pulsed with intensity and oppression.
This presence made the creature hesitate. In my left hand, I gathered a strong mix of white lunar-colored Qi and golden Magoi. Without hesitation, I released a powerful energy blast, knocking it back with sheer power and force.
It stood up and glared at me with hostility and caution, but I was unfazed. Deactivating the saber, I gathered my hands toward it.
"Ice Make: Path of Roses."
A blue crystal magic circle appeared, and giant ice roses flew toward it, seeming almost alive. It used strong tentacles to destroy the roses, but their natural resilience managed to pin it to the wall, causing some damage. I observed closely, noting how its slime reacted. It wasn't affected much by my previous energy attack, nor by the cold, though I sensed the ice energy had a slight effect.
After breaking free, I concluded every creature has a weakness, and mental oppression seemed effective, though not a solution.
"Spider-Man, use your bioelectricity on it."
Peter understood and charged his hand with blue energy, firing a beam at Vitrir . The creature dodged, but part of its body was damaged, even if the effect wasn't strong. I didn't care; instead, I summoned a whirlwind in my left hand, gradually increasing the natural wind energy.
Without delay, I unleashed a massive tornado, combining it with my ice magic to create an icy element. The frozen hurricane pushed Vitrir back, partially freezing its body in the wreckage.
Noticing movement, I used teleportation, appearing above the scene. Not hesitating, I used Magoi and Borg to dig through the debris to reach it, but it was too late—it seemed to escape through the sewers. Trying to locate it, I suspected it might have hidden within one of the fish bodies below...
And my old friend the system showed up to give me some work…
