MC POV
Four days later, I teleported to the hideout. Two days ago, I finally received the system's reward. With Wilson Fisk finally arrested and in the process of being tried, though I'm not sure how the trial and sentencing will proceed, it's a fact that for now he is in custody and facing trial. During this time, the evidence left by Daredevil and me has clearly exposed his crimes.
Moreover, with the help of Anturian, I pushed some information about him to the public, which should prevent any schemes or manipulation—or at least that's the intention. And after the primary mission objective was achieved, I received rewards including enhanced physical capabilities, special resistance to ice and fire due to thermal fluctuations, and the special power of telepathy and mind reading.
Additionally, the matrix reward was installed at the base, and I organized and improved everything with Peter, utilizing the Omnitrix and other points I gathered by doing good deeds. Today, I'm finally bringing Daredevil to the base.
From the outside, what looked like a warehouse in the distance wasn't clearly visible, but a slight mist covered it and certain areas around it. This mist made the place seem like a simple, ordinary warehouse. It also had a magical and mental effect that made people ignore the environment, and if they got too close, their minds would be affected in a way that would drive them away, as part of the illusion of the matrix.
I explained this softly to Daredevil, who was walking with me. This effect was no longer perceptible to him since I had registered his aura in the core of the formation, and besides, he was with me, the owner of the matrix.
"Really? It does seem like a strange place... but I don't feel anything special," he said, surprised and curious.
"Yes," I smiled gently. He still seemed doubtful, but it was something he would understand over time.
As we got within a few meters of the warehouse, I felt a layer of energy pass through my body, indicating the defensive matrix and illusion among the many matrices covering the place.
I also saw Daredevil stop moving and talking as he turned his head towards me with a furrowed brow.
"Is that...?" I looked at him and asked,
"Did you feel something?" I was curious because many people wouldn't be able to feel anything at all. Of course, those with authorization and energy registered in the core of the matrix could slightly sense the effect as they passed through, but not necessarily.
Sure, here's the translation to English:
---
Of course, very sensitive people would have greater sensory abilities. For example, Peter, who has super senses, including the so-called spider sense as he calls it, became quite sensitive upon entering the matrix. So much so that when he entered it for the first time, he jumped out of the area completely scared and alert, which led me to explain things to him carefully.
Remembering what happened two days ago, I heard Daredevil's voice.
"I felt... a strange sensation... I've felt this from you once before, but it was like something passed through my entire body... despite the sensation being different... I also feel a kind of strange connection with this energy..."
"I see, I'll explain it precisely as we go deeper. But as I mentioned, I registered you in what I call the 'matrix' and inside there, I will teach you how to control it for cases of future invasion or similar. The two sensations were related to the matrix itself, the first to the layer of special energy and the second to your registration and ability to control it."
I spoke with a gentle smile. The similar sensation he refers to is likely related to my use of mental power like Haki to observe him and/or my special eyes, both of which I've used around us and on him, even if not invasively. And indeed, I will teach him as a member of our alliance how to use the matrix, though this doesn't mean he has absolute power in the matrix since Peter and I have superior authorization over its formation.
He nodded, and the magical and mysterious sensation seemed to excite him even more and made him extremely curious, which in a way is positive for me as it would make him want to belong more to our small group.
Regardless, soon we arrived in front of the device. I saw that he was clearly curious about the place, but unlike before, I didn't comment. The depot's walls are a bit more resistant than normal materials, although still not too difficult to break for people with special abilities.
Upon reaching the depot's gate, I moved slightly to the side of the wall where there was a small lock. I entered the code that allowed me to open the doors. With a normal sound, the large door was opened. The interior was well-lit with various giant boxes of different sizes containing random items, including materials like wood, metals, old clothes, and even paintings and sculptures inside these boxes.
I walked with Daredevil and asked him, "Do you find anything strange here?"
Hearing my question, he seemed to try to observe with his special sensory ability while touching various boxes. He did this for a few minutes until he stopped at a specific box and murmured aloud, "This box is strange..."
I smiled and approached him. "Well, it seems you've discovered part of the secret," I commented and saw the box, a medium-sized light brown box that looked normal and was hidden among the various boxes. My hand passed over the box until it positioned in a specific area, and I left it there for 5 seconds. After these seconds, a red light flashed where my hand was, and a voice was emitted from the box.
"Registered individual. Immortal. Access granted." As soon as the electronic voice came, I stepped back, and the box moved abruptly. It rose into the air, and at the location, a special elevator appeared, with mechanical arms on the side and a medium-large capsule that could fit a good number of people. This elevator is the same one from Gru's house in the movie Despicable Me, which I bought from the system and updated with some changes with the help of the arachnid.
I positioned myself in the middle and called him. "You can come. I will register your identity when we're downstairs." Seeing everything that happened, he was surprised but still stood in the middle of the elevator. I clicked the button below to go to the lower floor, and soon the arms released the capsule, and with the doors closed, the capsule moved at high speed to the lower floor.
