Tony POV
Seeing the effects of the missiles behind me and the applause, I was quite satisfied. After the wind and air, I was very satisfied. "With a purchase of more than 500 million, I'll give a gift of this new cute toy." After the show and satisfied comments, I returned to the car to go back to the base.
In the car, I saw the vast desert and the soldier next to me looking a bit tense, seeming to want to say something. "Hey, is something wrong?"
"Uh… Mr. Stark… actually, I would like to take a picture if possible."
"Oh, sure, kid," I said, and he got his camera ready to take the photo. Well, fame doesn't hurt and it's fun. "No filters," I said since I didn't want my natural charm to be tarnished. But at the moment of the photo flash, the car seemed to gallop and sounds of explosions and gunfire were heard.
"Damn!!" The soldier, realizing the situation, immediately stopped what he was doing and grabbed his weapon while listening to commands and observing the surroundings. "Stay calm, Mr. Stark, we will protect you."
Hearing his voice calmed me down a bit, but that didn't last because as soon as a bigger explosion sounded, the car flipped entirely in the air. I felt the wind and pieces of something cutting my face and clothes while my head hit the car ceiling. When the car landed, the soldier still seemed alert and spoke loudly to me. "Stay here!! I'll clear the way so we can escape."
Even though he said that, I was very nervous, and between the sounds of gunfire and the uncertainty of knowing if he was shot or not since I could hear his and others' screams and groans of pain. So I tried to get up and grabbed a pistol. I got out of the car, crawling through the sand and dirt while trying to visualize and move.
When I ran to a place I thought was covered and safe, I saw a missile that made my eyes widen… because it had "Stark Industry" written on it. Seeing that, my movements stopped in shock, realizing I was being threatened by my own technology. I only snapped out of it when I heard shouts. "Grenade!"
Looking towards the noise, I saw a bomb similar to Stark Industries' land on the ground, and an explosion of light and shrapnel occurred. I could do nothing but close my eyes and feel my body fly through the air. However, at the moment when the shrapnel seemed to pierce my heart, a small piece of paper near my phone flew out and covered me completely. A greenish-blue light was created, which started healing the lighter wounds I had while preventing the shrapnel from entering my heart and causing more significant, fatal damage.
However, the impact still knocked me out. And there lay the billionaire, a slightly arrogant playboy, amidst sounds of explosions and gunfire, covered by a small green barrier formed by a single talisman that seemed to be burning and disappearing over time, especially after enduring the previous explosion. And of course, this individual would soon be captured…
MC POV
I was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Today, I was making a dish called tapioca stuffed with cheddar cheese and shredded chicken. Of course, I had to make a large quantity and a good size, given how hungry my family (including me and my boyfriend) are. After all, no one here exactly has a normal physique, not even dad. While I was arranging this, my little brother and dad were preparing orange juice. Looking at them, I found the image very cute.
It was at that moment I heard the TV voice that made me pause my movements for a second. "It's been over a month since the heir to Stark Industries disappeared. The military has not stopped searching for him. Let's now go to an interview with General and Mr. Stark's personal friend James Rhodey." "Hello everyone. I am speaking as a military representative and as Tony's personal friend..."
Hearing this, I looked at dad and asked, "Do you know anything, dad?" Dad, who had just placed the last glass of juice with my brother, was surprised by my question and replied with a question at the end while looking at me curiously. "Not exactly, just that the army is using significant resources to search for him… and it was probably a terrorist attack… Why?"
"Just curious…" I shrugged indifferently and answered. Honestly, I was curious because of the mission I had from the system in the past. I don't know if the talisman activated and protected him… I'm also curious about the outcome… but since it's a system mission, I doubt he died.
Regardless of that aspect, I went to eat and return to school as usual. But before leaving, dad said something. "Son, I have a request." I looked at him curiously. "What is it, dad?" He seemed embarrassed but continued speaking. "An old work friend came back after a few years… and he is still adjusting. He is also a bit old-fashioned and has been out of society for a while. So, keeping that in mind, I wanted to know if you could take him out today. He seems to want to see the World War museum and walk around downtown. You can take your boyfriend if you want."
I was curious about this request and even more curious about the description… Could he have been on some isolated mission or something? However, as it was a family request, I replied affirmatively. "Sure, what time?" "At 3 PM, I'll send you the location." "Okay." And when I finished talking and was about to leave, I remembered I hadn't asked his name. "Yes, dad, and what's this friend's name?"
Dad paused for a moment and replied while holding my brother by the arm. "Steve. Steve Rogers."
