Chapter 73 - Picking up a nail.

My ancient power of domination, strengthened by my immense and powerful mental energy, terrified everyone present. It didn't just frighten them; due to the natural oppression and control it exerted, no one could move. The normal humans fell to their knees, unable to even lift their eyes. The woman with sharp nails was also immobilized, though she could still move her eyes and wasn't entirely bent over. I hadn't used my power to its fullest or focused it on any one person. The large man couldn't move either, yet my ice creations continued to strike and wound him.

As for my allies, they weren't affected by the oppression; in fact, they even drew strength from my power. Still, they could feel its intensity, looking at me with surprise and curiosity about this particular power or trait. I offered no explanation. With the wind at my feet and a small whirlwind spiraling around my left arm, I quickly approached the armed men. With a sweeping motion, the strong wind pushed them all into a corner of the room. The gust didn't injure them but kept them together in one place.

Standing before them, I placed my hands on the floor. "Ice Make: Ice Shackles." A deep, blue magic circle enveloped the area, and with careful control, I bound each person tightly in large, powerful chains of ice. The chains prevented them from moving or using their weapons, and even without my ancient power, they wouldn't have the strength to break free. Only someone much stronger or with special technologies could manage that.

After that, I returned to my allies' side. It's worth noting that all these events took less than a minute. At that moment, I saw the woman trying to speak, though with difficulty. "How… can you… use that… power… that's… impossible…"

I looked at her calmly. "I'm not a mutant, and I wouldn't necessarily call it a power…" I muttered, finishing my response. After all, not all my abilities were physical or even mental, like my ice magic. She seemed like she wanted to say more, but I paid her no mind. I approached her and placed a hand on her forehead.

As I did, I used Saiki's mind-reading ability. I noticed that her mental capacity seemed somewhat strong, yet I didn't care. A roar echoed in my mental landscape as my crown glowed with increased intensity. I only did this to extract specific information. She tried to resist but was useful in the end. "So, that's how it is…" I murmured, turning to my allies and leaving her slightly disoriented, though she'd recover soon.

With plenty of mental energy remaining, I had no issue continuing to use my ancient power, though I didn't want to prolong its usage. "From the information I gathered, the mutant-inhibiting bomb should last approximately 15 minutes. However, it seems to vary depending on the type and strength of the mutant's power."

At my words, the three allies sighed in relief, though Logan looked the calmest. "I'll help you escape with a few of my partners. They'll protect you until your powers return and aid in your retreat."

"Partners?" Bob asked, intrigued.

I responded with action. I turned my hand, and a large dog, even bigger than a wolf, appeared. Its fur and mane were a light brown, with the rest of its body orange and black—the Pokémon Arcanine. The second was a small yellow figure in a blue hoodie with an 'I' for Immortal on the front. As he appeared, I first petted the warm, beautiful fur of Arcanine and gave him a light kiss on his forehead, which he returned by licking under my chin. Then, I was hugged around the leg by the small yellow creature. I touched his head with a smile and looked at my group, who were stunned by the appearance of these non-human, unusual beings.

"Don't overthink it. They'll help you. You can call one Arcanine and the other Minion."

"Grr," "Banana!" Each confirmed with their unique "voices," standing proud and ready. Though my allies found it odd, they didn't argue and followed my instructions, climbing onto Arcanine's large back. My little Minion also perched on Arcanine's head, pulling out a large laser weapon made entirely of metal from his bag—something I later discovered were small, spatial storage pouches on the Minions' outfits.

I smiled, and with a light wave, let them go. "I'll come get you soon or join you if you haven't left." I said, allowing Arcanine to run off. As he neared the door, I withdrew my ancient power of domination. Once I released it, everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief. The woman with sharp nails appeared to recover somewhat, looking at me with hostility and intense hatred but also a hint of fear. I ignored her, focusing instead on the other two "groups."

The soldiers remained dazed and firmly bound, while the other man seemed conscious but looked even more exhausted and wounded, thanks to my ice creations. I activated the magic circle again and reformed the ice restraints to secure him further.

Lowering my hand, I turned my gaze to the woman. She was clearly furious but seemed to be contemplating an escape plan, which I found slightly amusing. With wind under my feet, my lightsaber glowed in my right hand. I moved at incredible speed. She flinched but still managed to raise her claws. My Jedi saber struck them with high force, pressing her to the ground. I followed with more attacks, blending techniques like the Cloud style with ninja-like movements.

She continued to feel the pressure but, at some point, seemed to abandon escape and tried to eliminate me directly. I summoned another ice sword and fought back, and after some time, she grew desperate, attempting more attacks. But with my superior physique, senses, mental energy, Haki, martial arts skills, and combat experience, I held the advantage. I didn't plan to prolong the fight. I focused on one of her claws, pressuring it with Qi.

With a smirk, I withdrew my Jedi saber and moved back, quickly clapping my hands. Magical energy gathered, and I activated a spell: "Ice Make: Birth of Ice Roses." A crystal blue-pink magic circle appeared, and from it, numerous roses and vines made of ice attacked her.

The powerful assault surprised her as she tried to dodge and defend, but it was useless. The ice roses moved as if alive, and there were too many for her to counter. In the end, she was hit hard and thrown against the wall. The roses ensnared her arms, legs, and torso, freezing her and binding her tightly. She was encased in a crystalline ice rose prison. I approached calmly, seeing the mixture of exhaustion, fear, and hatred in her gaze, yet I felt nothing.

Standing before her, I wrapped my fist in ice-creation magic and struck her firmly in the stomach. "Sleep well."

"Die—" She managed to mutter, but in the end, she fainted. Afterward, I empowered my saber with internal energy and wind power to remove a piece of her claw. It took time, but I finally succeeded and stored it in my inventory for study and possible uses. "This is one annoyingly durable metal. If I were a better swordsman or had stronger power, it would've been easier…" I murmured, but I didn't dwell on it.

Leaving her side, I noticed that my ice creations had already subdued the man. I deactivated them. I took two mutant-inhibiting bombs from the men bound in ice shackles. "I'll borrow these, alright?" I said with a grin, calmly leaving. I planned to give one to the professor and keep one for myself, aiming to test and study it. Although limited, a weapon that can suppress mutant abilities is extremely significant and dangerous, especially for my mother and younger brother. A counteracting weapon, like an antidote or similar technology, would be vital.

I placed my hand on my forehead. Using Kai Kai to teleport others is somewhat difficult, as it's easier to teleport to familiar places or specific coordinates. However, with two of my "pets" with them, it would be simpler. "Kai Kai."

I was quickly transported beside Arcanine, who was leaping through soldiers, his paws flaming. My adorable Minion used his large weapon to cause decent destruction. Sensing my arrival, they both approached me, Arcanine for a warm petting. I turned to my allies, especially Blink.

"How's the effect?"

"I've recovered enough. I was planning to teleport us but waited to see if you'd show up," she said, dismounting from Arcanine with the others.

"Thank you," I said, recalling both pets to their space. Arcanine's daily time limit is long, but it's still best to be cautious. I saw a moment of reluctance from Blink, but I couldn't tell if it was for the Pokémon or the Minion, though it didn't matter.

Raising my hand, I used Ice Make magic to create a dense ice shelter for our protection. She closed her eyes to focus, while Iceman joined my side, asking about my ice powers. I offered a brief explanation that it wasn't merely a "power" but something more mystical, or magical, though I kept details vague. While my magic is unique to me due to specific alignments, we still shared general insights into ice and cold elements.

Soon, the purple-haired girl opened a space portal. We entered, finding ourselves with the ship's crew. Among the expected members, there were two mutants who had stayed behind.

As soon as the others noticed us, my aunt ran over and gave me a big hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay… your mother would kill me if anything happened," she said.

I was surprised but hugged her back, replying, "I'm fine, Auntie. I'm strong and special, just like my vegetables!" I joked, making her laugh a bit. I noticed she looked a little tired, and I could feel her powerful, unique energy still emanating from her. When my Haki of Vision reached out, I sensed the strong climate shift caused by her power.

"We can head back now," I said.

"Let's go," Hank agreed. I sat beside him in a meditative pose to rest and recover. My aunt handed me a chicken, cream, and olive sandwich to help me regain some energy. The airline food left me a bit speechless, but I didn't mind much and ate while I used my cultivation technique and Jedi mental power, with the help of the divine beast, to restore my Qi.

However, a short time after I'd settled in, I sensed something through my Haki. Images appeared before me as if I were seeing something about to happen: the image of a huge laser emerging from Earth and flying directly toward our ship, a powerful attack that seemed to cause significant damage.

And then it ended, and I opened my eyes in evident surprise.
