MC POV
My parents haven't returned from their trip yet and should be back in about a month or so. Since it's the weekend, I decided to prepare a very special lunch, moving around the kitchen and shifting between various stations. For today's lunch, I'm making oven-roasted meat with tomato sauce and assorted vegetables and roots, including potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, and eggplant.
As a side dish, I'm preparing fried rice with eggs, bacon, and boiled bananas—a Brazilian dish. Alongside that, I'll make a pumpkin cream.
"Pete, for the cream, you need to make sure everything is mashed and very creamy, or it'll lose its special flavor."
"Okay, my love," he replied.
I smiled softly, watching Peter as he worked hard to prepare one of the side dishes.
