She repeated the one-two-three movements, and Davien easily followed her actions, not missing a beat or timing. There was no way this was his first time.
In an attempt to throw off his rhythm, she stepped on his foot. She planned to break his toes, so she stepped on it with all her might, but Davien didn't break the rhythm, nor did he act as though anything happened.
"That was magnificent," Mrs. Davien said with a clap at the end of the dance as Bel pulled away from Davien. "Are you certain you have not done this before?"
"I guess I've seen enough to know how to dance," he said with a smile.
"Well, they were very easy steps. It would have been concerning if you couldn't figure out the basics."
He turned his gaze in her direction. "I suppose you're right," he admitted easily.
