Third POV
Both Vergil and Eliza practiced until evening, until Vergil felt it was enough and he believed he would be ready for the ball.
Vergil and Eliza left the room as they began to prepare for the main event.
"By the way, Eliza, since when did you learn to dance?" Vergil asked curiously.
"I started learning when I was 13 years old, then I practiced routinely. I had an instructor who came and practiced with me," she explained.
"Wow, you are amazing. I still remember when Mother brought the teacher; I ran away and was forcefully dragged to learn those torturous lessons. Thankfully, after I learned the basics, I was not forced to continue," Vergil sighed as he admired her tenacity.
"If you had taken it seriously, this wouldn't have happened," she snickered.
"Yeah, yeah. If I had taken those lessons seriously, I would not have learned from you," Vergil said as he rolled his eyes.
"True, maybe this is fate," she said as she smiled at him.
"Yeah, maybe. Who knows? I am just glad that I will not make fun of myself this evening," Vergil said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Okay, I believe it's time to prepare for the ball," he said, looking at the time.
"Yeah, it's about time. See you later, Vergil," she said as she skipped away to her room.
Vergil also waved his hand as he went to his room to prepare for the evening.
May was already waiting for him in his room.
"Young Master, I have prepared the bath," she said as she bowed.
"How many times have I already said, don't be this informal when we are alone?" Vergil said helplessly. He didn't want too much formality when alone.
"Sorry, Young Master. It will take some time," May said apologetically, still not comfortable with the informal posture.
Vergil just sighed. It would take a long time to make May get used to this way.
Vergil went to take a bath. The bath was specially prepared with a lot of natural herbs used to nourish the body. Normally, he would take such a bath after intense exercise, but the fatigue from yesterday's battle still hadn't worn off, so he took this medicated bath today.
Vergil soaked in the medicated bath and slowly absorbed all the properties of the herbs. As he felt his fatigue melt away and the faint pain in his body slowly fade away, he also used mana flow to effectively absorb the herbs.
After some time, all the liquid in the bath had faded away to clear water as all of the medicinal properties were absorbed by Vergil's body.
"Finally, fully recovered, and my physical ability has also increased," Vergil said as he felt the changes in his body. At first, it was just a guess, but now he could be sure his body had strengthened, and also his body was more durable than before.
His body was completely different from the first time; clearly, proper and solid muscles were visible with perfect abdominal muscles. His body was neither bulky nor thin, yet this body held considerable prowess.
He cleaned himself and then began to change. A special dress was prepared by Mother, as he would be making a proper entrance into the social circle of nobility today and also have the dance with Eleanor.
He changed into the dress. It was a bit difficult as it had many folds and buttons, but he eventually dressed himself. The dress was dark purple in color with silver edges, and the Shadow weaver perfectly complemented the dress as he wore the long coat that automatically adjusted to the apparel, adding more charm and elegant air to the already handsome Vergil.
As time was approaching I made my way to the outside, father and mother already ready with Baron Beaumont
"Ohh dear you look really handsome" Mother said as she looked satisfied at me
"Thanks mother" Vergil said
"Hello father Uncle Ben," Vergil greeted
"Hey there young man, When I first saw I didn't thought you would be such a ladies man" Baron Beaumont said whose real name is Benjamin Beaumont
"Anyway thank lad for looking after my little girl, I know you saved her for that I am grateful" Baron said as he bowed
"uncle please don't do this, for me Eliza is a good friend although we have only known for just a day I still find her company valuable so that is what I did what I did" Vergil said as he stopped uncle Ben from bowing
"Haha.. Young boy I am glad Liz found a friend like yourself" Uncle Ben said clearly in a good mood
Father also smiled at me, understanding the situation perfectly.
As Vergil began to talk and Eliza and her mother also came
Vergil looked at her was stunned, today Eliza looked absolutely stunning she wore dress captivating display of sophistication, perfectly complementing her natural beauty. Fashioned from luxurious chocolate brown silk, the gown envelops her slender form with a sense of timeless elegance. The bodice is adorned with intricate lace detailing, delicately woven to create an enchanting pattern that accentuates her curves with grace.
"you look beautiful today, Eliza" Vergil complemented unable to look away
"Thankyou, Vergil you also looking very handsome" Eliza said her cheeks little red as she complemented me
"okay Vergil lets go you can look it her latter" Mother said as she giggled at my daze
"Yes lets go" Father said
Vergil woke up from his daze as he made his way towards his carriage and Eliza towards her own. and then we began making our way towards the Marquess castle
Vergil POV
I looked at the Marquess estate; it hadn't even been a full day, and I was back again. The estate was still as grand as ever as I got out of my carriage, the butler clearly waiting for guests.
"Good evening, Baron Winchester, Lady Winchester, and young Master Vergil," he greeted us.
"Young Master Vergil, Lady Eleanor has already informed us. If you would follow me, the young lady is waiting," the butler bowed and said.
"Okay, Father, Mother, I will take my leave," I said as I went to Eleanor.
"Good luck, Vergil. I hope your practice was good enough," Father said, looking at me with a meaningful smile.
"Okay, dear, don't pressure him too much," Mother said, smiling gently.
They were making fun of me, right? They were making fun of me, I thought angrily.
"Hehe... well, we'll see," I said as my face twitched, following the butler.
I went through another door leading me toward the back part of the castle, different from where the ball would happen. There was still time before we made our entrance.
I was supposed to enter as Eleanor's partner for the evening, so I had to go get my partner first.
I followed the butler's lead, and soon we reached another grand room. It was most likely a waiting room, as I could see the grand staircase that led to the ballroom.
"Young Master, would you please wait here? Lady Eleanor will meet you here shortly," the butler said.
"Yes, thank you. I will wait here," I said as I sat on a sofa, crossing my legs.
"If you would like something to eat, you may notify the maids," the butler said as he made his way back, clearly still welcoming guests.
I called a maid and asked for a few snacks and a drink as I was feeling a little hungry.
As I ate the snacks, I heard someone's footsteps—the rhythmic clicking of heels.
I looked at the door and soon realized it was Eleanor. When she entered, I felt as if an angel had descended on earth. She was breathtakingly beautiful, wearing a beautiful dark green dress made from emerald-green satin. The gown draped elegantly over her slender frame, enhancing her statuesque figure with grace and poise.
The bodice of the dress was adorned with intricate black lace, delicately woven to create an enchanting pattern that added a touch of mystery and allure to the ensemble. The sweetheart neckline accentuated her décolletage, while the lace extended into sheer cap sleeves that framed her shoulders with ethereal beauty. With her glossy black hair swept up in an intricate design and her emerald eyes sparkling with excitement, Eleanor exuded an aura of ethereal beauty.
"Good Evening, Vergil," Eleanor said as she raised her skirt and gave a bow.
"Ah... Good Evening, Eleanor," I said, still looking at her as I snapped out of my daze.
"How do I look, Vergil?" she said as she gave her skirt a twirl.
"I would like to say you are beautiful, but these words aren't enough to describe you," I said honestly, blown away by her beauty.
"Thank you very much," Eleanor said, blushing at my compliment.
"Come on, sit down. I believe there's still some time before we leave," I said, distracting myself.
"Ah... Yes, Father and Mother are coming in a few minutes. We will enter with them," Eleanor said.
A silence loomed over us for some time as she looked at the floor.
"Are you nervous, Elie?" I asked, noticing her change in demeanor.
"Yes... a little... This is my first time dancing in front of a large crowd," Elie said.
"Well, I am also the same," I said, scratching my cheek.
"Really? I thought you would have danced before," she said curiously.
"And what makes you think that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You have always been very confident. I thought you would have done this before," she said, pondering.
"No, no... yesterday was my first time attending a social event, and today I am your partner," I said, clearing up any misunderstanding she had of me.
"Hehe... looking at you yesterday, nobody could say it was your first time," she said, giggling.
"I am just better at hiding myself," I said, avoiding eye contact.
"Young Lady, Young master, the Marquess has arrived," a maid announced, interrupting us.
"Understood, we are coming," I said, acknowledging the maid.
I looked at Elie; clearly, she was even more startled.
'She was not like this yesterday.' I thought
"You said I was confident. What about yesterday? You were the same, full of arrogance and pride," I said, smirking.
"What do you know... Yesterday was different. I only had to make an appearance, and there was no dance involved," she said, snapping.
"Okay, okay... calm down. No need to be nervous. I am with you this time, so shall we go?" I said, extending my hand.
She looked at me, then put her hand on mine as she stood up and said, "Okay, let's do this, Vergil." as she took a deep breath
"Don't worry; you will be the most dazzling existence tonight," I said, reassuring her.
She rolled her eyes at me, but clearly, she had calmed down as we went to meet with the Marquess.
