Bernardo passed the ball back straight to his defenders to slowly build up play. The defenders after doing a quick one-two passed it to the midfielder who started running towards the goal with the ball.
Zeb patiently waited for the defender to come to him and when the defender did come close enough he attempted to nutmeg Zeb just like how Zeb had nutmegged him but Zeb tackled him before he could do anything.
"IDIOT why wouldn't you just PASS" Screamed Bernardo.
The midfielder chased after Zeb to recover the ball but was no match for Zeb's pace. Zeb ran towards the defenders, who, this time didn't rush towards Zeb expecting him to do the same pass to Elias but little did they know Zeb was not here to win but simply show-off in case Salah saw him.
Zeb rainbow flicked the first defender and was now one on one against the keeper. He did a fake shote and pulled to the side but the keeper was not fooled and stood his ground. Zeb knew that with the defender coming towards him in the hopes of recovering the ball would not let him shoot if he got here so Zeb just powered up his shot and hopes for the best.
The shot flew straight at the goal but the keeper denied Zeb the goal with his arm.
"OOF! That was one strong shot." Said the keeper.
'Man I hope Salah didn't see that.' thought Zeb.
The goalkeeper began the game again with a pass to a defender who instead of playing it slowly crossed it forward straight to their midfielder though that wasn't really a good decision as Dale was not far behind the midfielder and was able to quickly steal the ball with a quick header.
The header found Elias who passed the ball to Zeb and quickly started his run. Zeb immediately knew what Elias wanted and passed the ball back to Elias with a beautiful one touch pass. The defender who was marking Zeb anticipated this though as he has seen Elias's run and quickly ran to corner Elias signaling to the other defender to do the same.
Elias though was not fased at all. Being a RW originally, he had faced countless situations like these where two players tried to corner him and those players were trained whereas these were still amatures. There was no way he could ever be stopped by those two. Elias wasted no time quickly running to the box. The defender marking him ws astonished at his speed and knew it was futile to chase after him so instead he headed over to mark Zeb who was completely unmarked.
Elias was now one on one against a defender and he couldn't pass to Zeb because it could be intercepted by the defender running to mark Zeb so instead he made the choice of breaking through instead. He started doing stepovers to confuse the defender and ran towards the edge of the box, the defender following behind.
Zeb knew what Elias was trying to do and run towards the goal. Elias reached the edge of the box and without wasting anytime shot for goal, but was blocked by the keeper who stopped it by diving. This however was what Zeb wanted. Zeb got to the second ball before the keeper could get up and shot for an easy tap in.
And with that the timer for the first half went off. 2-0 was the score at half-time.
The second half was the same with Zeb assisting 2 goals both scored by Elias and scoring 1 himself.
The only difference was thatin the second half the opposing team actually had a shot. Bernardo dribbled past one defender and without wasting any time shot at the goal from outside the box. It was quite and ambitious effort and the shot was saved by Dinis without much difficulty. The defenders didn't allow the same mistake happen a second time.
After full-time the boys left the pitch laughing and to their suprise were met by two people in masks.
"Hey kids, we saw your game from afar and we have to admit you were really good." Said the shorter masked man of the two.
"Especially you kid your defending was very good." Said the taller man to Angelo.
"Umm thanks but if you don't mind may I ask who you both are? You remind of someone but I can't quite put my fing-" said Angelo before he was interrupted.
"SALAH AND VAN DIJK!!" Screamed Zeb out loud.
"Shhh quiter we don't want to be swarmed right now, we still have to go to our hotel after all haha." Said Salah.
"WOOAH!" Said all of them except Zeb who was busy admiring these two footballing greats.
"I was complimentes by van dijkTHE VAN DIJK!" Said Angelo.
"It is so nice to meet you both could you both please sign my boots?" Asked Elias
"Yeah, why not? Good thing I always carry a marker on me." Said Salah.
"This might be th GREATEST day of my life." Said Dale.
