I wasn't able to attend the class since I am not feeling well. I just locked myself up in the bathroom--afraid to go outside and face their judging eyes. It's been just two days since I transferred here yet I made a huge problem eventually.
I let out a heavy sigh before leaning on the door. I don't want to leave but I don't want to make another trouble to them especially to our class president.
She must be worried about me not attending in class or she's not bothered at all.
I sat on the wet floor while leaning on the door. I just stared on the small window in front of me wherein I could see the sun shining.
My eyes went to my side when I saw a paper slipped from the door. Out of curiosity, I took it and scanned it. My eyebrows frowned when I saw that there's something wrote in the paper.
'Everyone are worried, aren't you're going to leave your COMFORT zone, third?'
I gasps as I read that and immediately stood up. I open the door just to see-- no one.
I tilted my head as I scanned the place but I didn't see any one. Maybe the person who wrote this ran and hide him or herself from me. Maybe he or she just wanted to make me feel that what those things running in my head was nothing but a product of my judging mind. Maybe they're really worried about me.
I hurriedly went back to my class. As I arrived there, the classroom went silent. They were just staring at me while I went to my seat silently.
Until the door opened and hiro went in. He was scanning the whole room until his eyes lend on me. There's a relief in his eyes that he quickly brushed off.
"Pres. told to our teacher that you were in the clinic, LBM." he said as he sat beside me.
My eyebrow furrowed as I heard that. "LBM as in Loose bowel movement?!" I ask, my eyes widened.
He nodded. I felt my cheek burdened and in my entire life, I've never heard that as my excuse! This is my first time and they just reasoned it out for my sudden disappearance.
"Bakit? You excused yourself and locked on the restroom. We can't find a reason so we just made an excuse wherein kapani-paniwala."
I nod my head as I put my head down on the table. So, that's the reason why they've been staring at me huh? not because of what happened earlier but because of what reason they told to our teachers just me to be excused!
"Hey, are you okay na ba? What about your tummy?" one of my classmate who's sitting in front of me ask.
I bit my lips when I heard hiro's giggling and tried to hide it--but he just literally can't stop himself so I glared at him before facing our classmate.
"Uhh, my tummy is good. Thank you for asking." I said with a small smile.
"Here I took down notes the lesson earlier." our class president handed me a pink binder.
I smiled at her awkwardly as I nodded my head. "Thanks." I said as I accept the binder.
She just smiled at me and thank god, she didn't ask any further. Then the day went on just like that.
I am so thankful that they are sensitive enough to read the room; because after that incident, they didn't mention it anymore.
"San kana nakasakay?" I was tidying my things when Hiro asks me. I tilted my head.
"Again?" I ask, not getting his question.
"What car have you been in??" one of my classmate said while rubbing his head. "You know, the jeepney, taxi or bus."
I nodded my head when I get his point. "Oh, Only the taxi. When we were arrived here from the airport." I answered.
"Boring." Hiro speak up. "Gusto mo sa jeep sumakay?"
I looked at him with a sparkling eyes. "Really? I want to ride it since day 1! But my mom won't allow me to." I said as I shook my head.
"Bakit?" he asked frowning.
"Ah, It is because my mom told me that it's dangerous to ride and it would shock me so.." I said shyly.
"I mean why asking her permission? You're not a kid anymore." He said, getting annoyed.
I tilted my head. "You didn't ask their permission?"
He narrowed his eyes and shake his head as if saying that he doesn't! That shock out of me because if I did that, mom would freak out!
"So?" He looked at me again. "Jeep tayo?"
I looked at everyone who's waiting for my answer. Their eyes shouting 'Accept it already' So, I nodded in respond so that they won't call me KJ or what.
My classmates cheers when I agreed as if it excites out of them. Hiro was staring at me and raised his eyebrow. "Gusto mo ba talaga?"
He asked as if he read what's on my mind. I smiled at him and nodded my head. "Yeah, sure."
He started at me as if reading me, so I stand up and pulled him up. "Let's go! I want to try it so bad!" I said while wearing a big smile.
He grinned and shook his head. "Parang bata."
I pout and crossed my arms. "Parang bata." I mocked and laughed. He laughed too!
"You should speak tagalog more often. your voice sounds good." he commented.
I'm about to react but he rushed out to the room! I narrowed my eyes as my classmates shouts "aayyiiieee" like they're teasing me.
I looked at them confused before laughing. "Hey let's go! Hiro just went out." I said before heading out to follow hiro outside.
We went outside the school. Half of my classmates chose the school bus rather that jeep since they needed to get home early. While some of my classmates just stayed at the library to find some books related to our assignments. So we're just eight people who wants to ride jeepney, and of course hiro is one of them.
"Hey! That orange ball!" I said as I ran but then someone just pulled me. I looked behind and pout my lips when I saw hiro raising his eyebrow.
He then pointed the red light in pelican crossing. "Huwag kang padalos dalos." he told me before holding my arm and just pulled me when the lights turned green.
I didn't care about it at all since we went to the store where I saw the orange ball. "hey, I want those." I said.
Hiro accompany me since others doesn't want to buy and rather choose to have a coffee in the starbucks neaby. But it's okay since I have hiro, yet he seems to not like it since he's frowning and looking around A LOT.
"Good afternoon ma'am, how much the orange ball?" I said smiling.
The lady frowned a bit and looked at the orange ball. "Ah, kwekkwek ba kamo? 20 pesos apat iho."
I nodded in respond. "Ah can I get one? Or maybe two order ma'am." I glanced at hiro who's looking around again.
"Ito oh." the lady handed me the kwekkwek.
I smiled and hand her 100 pesos. She about give me the sukli but I said: "Keep the change po. Samalat po."
Then I approached hiro. "Hey." I said. "I have kwek kwek!" I said as if a child who got his favorite toy.
He smirk and mess my hair. "Cute."
and I didn't know that my heart could beat faster than before.
