My name's Sato Fujimoto, and I'm a freshman at Totohoto University in Tokyo. It might not be the fanciest school around, but it's still in the top 20 for academics. I've set my sights on studying A.I. and Robotics here.

I've been in Tokyo since I was a little kid, moving here with my older sister and our grandpa after our mom passed away when we were young. I'm just an average guy, so it's no shocker that I've never had a girlfriend.

But amidst my lack of romantic adventures, there's been one constant in my life—my childhood friend, Akane Ishikawa. We've been friends since we were kids, growing up side by side as neighbours and classmates.

Akane's always been the brainier and more outgoing one between us. Despite our differences, we've been drawn together like magnets. She's been with me through thick and thin, always there to pull me out of the dark with her stubborn refusal to give up.

When it came time to apply for university, Akane pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and enroll in A.I. and Robotics. Funny enough, she chose the same program, wanting us to stick together. It's not typical for girls to go for something like this, but hey, I'm not complaining.

And now, it's the first day of university life.
