So it really didn't work?

Was the fruit worth a hundred million now useless? This wasteful goddess really deserves a thousand cuts! Aqua, who was snacking on chips and watching the spectacle, suddenly felt a tangible wave of murderous intent engulf her.

Thinking of Zyhark's cruel and terrifying methods, even the typically brash Goddess of Water panicked in an instant.

"There's still a chance, Zyhark, look, the inscription next to the well just mentions a Devil Fruit, it doesn't specify it has to be intact!" Aqua explained, picking up the Slip-Slip Fruit from the ground. Her expression, frantic and somewhat fierce, she rolled up her sleeves and shoved the fruit back into the wishing well.

The surface of the wishing well rippled, emitting a powerful force that stubbornly blocked the fruit from entering.

"Damn it! How dare you resist? Just swallow it nicely, you should be grateful you're getting anything at all!" Aqua's face twisted in aggravation as she used all her strength to push the fruit into the well.

The wishing well trembled violently, resisting fiercely.

"Idiot! Won't listen to reason, huh? If you don't accept this now, I'll blow you up!!" Aqua's temper flared, and her palms radiated with a dazzling array of lights, unleashing Holy Flame, Sacred Water, Purification Power, Goddess's Blessing, and the Magic of Nature, all at once.

Bang! The poor Slip-Slip Fruit was crushed by this chaotic force, squeezed into juice, and forcibly flowed into the wishing well.

The well trembled even more intensely, struggled for several seconds, and then as if deciding to compromise, returned to calm.

[Wish conditions this time: 30 million Berries + Devil Fruit (fulfilled)]

[Please provide two descriptive traits of the character you wish to summon]

Zyhark: "...This actually worked?! Seriously?!" No wonder she's ranked number one for being unreasonably violent...

"Done."

Aqua sighed in relief, stood up, wiped her hands clean of the juice, and turned to a stunned Zyhark, boasting proudly, "You see, Zyhark, when dealing with something as stubborn as this, you can't be too soft!"

She was relieved to have escaped death.

"Aqua, that was... impressively done."

This was the first time Zyhark felt genuine admiration for the goddess in front of him.

The power and mystery of the wishing well were undeniable, and he certainly couldn't have managed such a forceful manipulation himself.

Just as Aqua was about to brag some more, Zyhark waved her off: "Okay, that's enough. You're done here. Go enjoy the sea breeze at the restaurant entrance."

Business as usual; he hadn't forgotten how she unilaterally decided to accept a new member last time.

This time, there was no way he was letting her stick around! Just to be safe, he sent King to accompany her.

Once Aqua was sufficiently far away, Zyhark turned his attention back to the wishing well.

From his previous experiences with making wishes, he had gleaned some valuable insights.

Firstly, descriptions of power shouldn't be overly exaggerated—terms like 'god-level' or 'strongest' often come with catches.

Secondly, a fiercer character is preferred as villainous characters are generally less flawed than heroic ones.

Lastly, and most importantly, the character's intelligence must be substantial!

Based on these criteria, Zyhark had long decided on the two traits for his wish: a villainous character and a weapons inventor.

A villain should have a level of strength beyond the ordinary, right?

An inventor who could create things would undoubtedly have a high intellect.

Moreover, in the world of pirates, weaponry is a significant element of power, like the advanced technology created by Dr. Vegapunk.

This was a double safety net. Surely, it couldn't go wrong again!

[Villainous Character + Weapons Inventor, conditions confirmed]

The wishing well burst into a blinding gray-white light, illuminating the entire first floor of the restaurant.

Under this glow, a crisp "ding" sounded, followed by a vague and distant "I'll definitely come back!" as a small figure sprang from the well.

Bang!

After creating a cat-shaped hole in the restaurant's ceiling and soaring into the sky, the figure fell back down, landing heavily beside Zyhark.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, damn it, Pikachu, we're old acquaintances, was there really a need for a full-power Thunderbolt, meow!"

From the dust cloud caused by the impact, a small and exquisite figure emerged, revealing its true form.

It was... a cat that walked on two legs!

Zyhark: "..."

Aqua: ╰(*°▽°*)╯

King: (⊙o⊙)

"Hey! Is this the mysterious world that voice mentioned where I can become super powerful?"

Meowth, hands on hips, scrutinized Zyhark with narrowed pupils.

Following this human, could his strength reach the level of a mythical Pokémon?

Looking at Meowth, who barely reached his knee when standing, Zyhark couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth, although he didn't hold much hope.

He hadn't added any peculiarly cute and charming descriptions to the villain character, yet Meowth had still been summoned?!

"A talking cat?!"

Aqua, always weak for cute things, immediately brightened up.

Ignoring Zyhark's warning to stay away, she swiftly scooped Meowth into her arms.

"What a cute child! What's your name? Can you catch mice? How did you learn to speak? Do you want to join the Axis Church?"

Startled by the rough handling, Meowth's face darkened. As a fierce villain, it was being treated like a pet?

This was intolerable! Its sharp claws instantly extended from its paws, and it used its "Scratch" skill directly on Aqua's pretty face.

Whoosh! The claws' cold gleam left three slash marks on Aqua's face.

"Quite aggressive, but don't worry, I won't hurt you."

Unusually gentle towards Meowth, Aqua healed the scratches on her face with a blessing spell and opened her arms towards Meowth, who had jumped onto the table, showing good will.

Meowth's fur bristled, warily watching Aqua.

"A talking cat, so this guy is also a monster?" King earnestly commented from a distance.

"I taught myself to speak, meow! Meowth is not some monster!" Meowth retorted, baring its teeth at King.

King's heartbeat suddenly accelerated, his engine roaring to life.

Startled by the sudden noise, Meowth shrank its neck, only then noticing King's fierce and terrifying visage.

This human, does he intend to kill me?

"I'm very sorry, please forgive my rudeness!"

A true gentleman knows when to be flexible. Meowth, having studied various social etiquettes, elegantly bowed in apology to King.

"Oh, Mr. King, ease up, don't scare the child. After all, this child is now our companion," Aqua maintained her gentle smile.

This unfamiliar demeanor almost made Zyhark think he was seeing things.

"Alright, Meowth, no need to be so wary, King won't hurt you," he reassured.

After all, only you could hurt him...

Although it was just a not-so-serious cat with limited combat ability, after seeing Aqua and King, Meowth seemed a lot more acceptable.

Thinking about it, the creature had created a lot of Rocket Team's high-tech gadgets; maybe it could develop into a decent combat force?

For now, he had no thoughts of returning it.
